Dragonese

((HICCUP POV))

"The Drago Bludvist? Why would he be here?" I asked.

"He's after the dragons. For his dragon army." Mom explained. She grabbed her staff and ran to the cove.

"We have to hide the dragons. Move them into the caverns below." She explained, starting to direct the dragons lower in the ice fortress.

"Can't we just talk to him? There has to be a nicer way to settle this than fighting?" I asked. Astrid grabbed my hand and shook her head.

"Sometimes fighting is unavoidable." She replied. I sighed.

"Yeah, I guess that's true," I said. As soon as I can get some time alone, I'm going to talk to him. Stop him the easier way. Viggo and Ryker were a bit of a lost cause. Maybe Drago won't be (Oh my sweet child, that's not how villains work).

"I'll go get Toothless ready for the battle," I lied. I ran, along with Toothless, back to the kitchen. I brought along a weapon in case but stowed it away in the knapsack. It would be a last resort.

"Come on bud, let's go talk some sense into Drago Bludvist," Toothless whimpered. He didn't seem to be a very big fan of this plan.

"It'll be fine, besides, we're strong enough to get out of there if there is a problem," I reassured him and flexed my muscles, as a gag, cause you know, I'm a toothpick.

"Let's go!"

((ASTRID POV))

"Where is Hiccup? It shouldn't take this long for him to prepare for battle," I asked.

"We should go check on him, I think he went to the kitchen," Fishlegs replied. I agreed and we went to go find Hiccup. When we reached the kitchen however, Hiccup wasn't there.

"Are you sure he went this way?" I asked. Fishlegs nodded and then picked something up from the floor.

"Toothless' scales. They were here. But I think they might have left," Fishlegs said.

"Left? Where would he have gone?" Fishlegs took a nervous gulp and pointed to the large open gap in the ice.

"To talk to Drago, just like he said he wanted to do," he explained.

"What?!" I cried. Valka and Stoick came rushing into the kitchen.

"Where is Hiccup?!" Valka asked worriedly.

"To make negotiations...with Drago."

((HICCUP POV))

"Seems like they're holding fire until we attack first," I said.

Trap.

"Yeah, that's what it feels like. They're definitely hiding something. A trump card maybe," I replied.

No talk...go back?

"No, we can't go back, even if we can't negotiate, we need to know what he's planning," I explained. Toothless sighed and seemed to give up trying to persuade me.

"I can go alone if you don't want to you big baby," I taunted him. Toothless huffed.

No way...protect Hiccup.

"I don't need your protection, I'm plenty capable of protecting myself," I said. Toothless gave me an 'are your serious look.'

"I'm very serious thank you," I replied. The guards finally left to switch posts and Toothless and I snuck right into their base. As we looked around we could see large dome like cages aligned neatly. This entire ship was full of them.

"These must be where they keep the dragons. Come on bud, give me a boost," I said. I cranked the lever and with Toothless' help, slipped through the crack at the top. Inside the dome was a razor whip. It was tied down with a muzzle and tail shackle so that it couldn't escape. It became defensive upon seeing me, but I calmed it down before it could alarm the guards that I was here. I started unshackling the tail first, so that it could escape, then I tore of the muzzle. It broke through the chains tying it down and left the dome. I called in toothless and we also left.

"Let's get the rest of them. Watch for guards," I said. Toothless purred in agreement. It took a while but we freed almost all of the dragons on the ship. It was strange, even after all the noise, no guards showed up.

"This is the last one bud, I'll be back as soon as the dragon is free. Then we find Drago," I explained. I jumped into the cage to find that the dragon was covered in a thick blanket.

"Strange, why is this one the only one covered?" I asked myself. To be safe I slightly lifted the corner to see the dragon. But what I saw wasn't a dragon. It was a dozen guards, all seemly waiting for me. As soon as one saw me lift the corner the rest were on me like moths to a flame.

"Toothless!" I cried, Toothless jumped through the opening of the cage and dropped right on top of the guards, knocking a few unconscious. The few lucky ones who Toothless didn't step on were unlucky enough to be my opponents. We took care of them easily.

"Our cover has been blown, Drago probably already knows that we're here, at least this gives a better chance to speak with him," I said. Toothless grumbled and smacked me with his ear fin.

No talk...we leave...

"Toothless please! If I can convince Drago to leave without him hurting anybody, that would be better than all out war!" I explained to Toothless.

How do you know it work?

"I don't know, but I have to give it a try, to protect the others, this is my battle," I said. Toothless just huffed in annoyance.

Whatever...not technically your battle

"It is now Bud. I've gotten myself in too deep," I joked.

You always...in too deep

"I know, I know, let's just find Drago and get this over with, you can scold me later, along with mom, dad, Gobber, and Astrid," I said. Toothless seemed content with that and we flew to the next boat looking for Drago.

"The Dragon Master is here?" Asked a gravely low voice. The guard who had come to deliver the message was shaking in fear in front of his master.

"Y-yes sir. He took out a whole group of guards and freed the only dragons we had captive," said the guard.

"Find him and bring him to me, and this time, do not run away. I will punish any deserters," the voice said, slamming his hand down on the arm of his seat, startling the terrible terror he had captive and scaring away the guard.

"The Dragon Master, heh, what a fun opponent to have in my grasp."

Heyyyyyyy guys, it me, I'm not dead, yet. Sorry I haven't updated in a millennia (like 7 months maybe 🤷🏼‍♀️). Being teenager hard, I'm 'learning' to drive (failing horribly) and 'learning' how love works (also failing horribly). Love is hard. Hopefully chapters will come out more frequently from now on but no promises, school starts in a week and I'm rolling ideas around in my head about this story but none seem to want to come out right. Just promise me you won't kill me, thanks, love you guys!

Peace out! ✌🏻
