after all is said and done

i will meet you on the other side

i have decided to let you go

i will keep our memories but i will not squeeze them for life anymore

i have decided its time to continue as you seem to do

however i cannot say i will stop thinking of you

in fact i know my feelings will remain 

but yet i have decided to let you go

because after all this is said and done 

after we have grown

after life has built us to a steady ground

i will find you regardless of what position life has put you in

even if you have settled into the life that we spoke into existence not so long ago

im sure your family will be beautiful, surrounded by love in the home you built by your awe-inspiring hands, hands that rival the architects of our new age, even without me in it 

even if i too seem content in my own setting

i refuse to not know you are okay in this life

i refuse for you to think i would not weather this storm

so i am letting go for now, but hear me when i say

i will meet you on the other side
