"Yumi?" Kakashi turned and saw the lady standing next to him. "What are you doing all the way here?"
"Well, I was cleaning up, and realized that a certain pervert left his smut book in my bed." she gave a small smirk.
"Well...thanks." he replied, taking the novel from her hands, still astounded that she came all this way to return his book.
She looked around skeptically, before deciding, "Care to join me on a walk, Kakashi?"
"Hmm.." he paused for a moment, looking into her eyes. "Sure. Why not?"
They walked together towards the forest.
"Do you feel any better, Kakashi?" she asked softly. "Your condition had me worried all morning."
"No, no. I'm fine, trust me," he replied. "if it wasn't for you, I'd probably be dead by now."
She gave a weary smile, as they continued to walk around the dark forest; the clouds starting to cover up the shiny moon. Kakashi pulled out his novel and began to read, his back against a tree trunk. She carefully sat down next to him, hugging her knees to her chest, eyes still on the horizon.
"We can talk to Lord Hokage about you becoming a teacher. You're a jounin, right?"
"Yes, but...after all the things I've done? I highly doubt that." she scoffed.
"Perhaps you can just be a sensei for students in need of extra training.."
She didn't respond.
"Maybe you could help Sakura, one of my students, with her training."
"I dunno.." she sighed. "I can put off this decision for another today.. sorry."
She intentionally did this to avoid what was yet to come. Leaning her head back while closing her eyes for a second, sleep gradually had come and overtook her.
And with that, she was snoozing in no time, unintentionally resting her head upon his shoulder slightly. Feeling the light weight on his shoulder, he looked over and a small smile played upon his masked lips. Kakashi folded his book back into his pocket. He lifted her gently into his arms and jumped off the tree.
"Can't believe she actually fell asleep.."
