Yumika felt as if the sky fell on her. "W-what?"

"You heard me," Kakashi replied. "I don't want you to leave."

"Don't be ridiculous." she folded her arms.

"I recall you saying that I could have anything in return if I won. And this is what I want." He folded his arms, roaming his eyes back to his novel.

She turned around, biting her lower lip, "But what you're asking for is personal!"

He was taken aback by her response, concluding that it sounded much better in his head. If only he had found a better way to express his feelings.

But at the same time, she regret snapping at him like that, even though this was no easy decision. Kirigakure was her home. She had a life back there..not much of one, but she still had a good share of memories. And her house. Was she willing to give up everything just to stay with him?

Kakashi and Yumika didn't speak to each other for the rest of the day. They bristled around each other when walking around the house. When night fell upon the Hidden Leaf village, Yumika decided to quietly head back home. She wanted to leave at the crack of midnight, but she first had to make sure Kakashi was fast asleep.

Once she knew that he was snoozing away, she ever so silently crept from his house, departing to the Land of Waves.

She quickly zoomed through the tall trees of the forests, arriving near her doorstep faster than she expected. Yumika quietly descended from the tree tops, silently landing in front of her tiny house. She looked both ways, just before walking over, when the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. There he was, leaning at her front door; arms folded. He briefly glanced at Yumika.

"My, my.." Kakashi mused with a teasing tone, raising an eyebrow at her. "how predictable."

She tried to keep it casual. "I had a feeling you'd be here, Kakashi."

He stifled a small chuckle. "Did you now?"

"Step aside." she said, edging closer to her door.

"No." He stayed put.

"What don't you understand?"

He gave a small eye roll, "You're wasting both our nights."

"Well, so are you."

A few moments later, he edged towards her, placing a hand on the back of her head. He brought her towards himself, and they stood there hugging. Silence grew between them. She could feel her face glisten pink, as she stared over his shoulder, the bottom half of her face rested on his shoulder. As the gesture was unexpected, her arms remained at her sides.

"Tch, you're keeping this one-sided?" he asked, then grunted in approval when he felt her arms wrap around him. "That's right.."

They remained in the gentle hug, as they spoke silently to one and other.

Yumika began to smile, "You know, I find it rather sweet that you want me to stay.."

"Yeah, well.." he cleared his throat. "the only reason I even want you to stay is so you can cook and clean.."

She gave a gentle laugh. "Right. So you want me to be a maid of yours?"

"I think that sounded better in my head.." he mused quietly.

Yumika unhitched her arms from Kakashi, but drifted her hand against the side of his face, gently holding it. He placed his gloved hand on top of hers.

"Alright..I suppose I'll come back," she stated. "For you."

He then cracked a small grin. "Now since that is settled, how about we go home now, hm?"

She raised an eyebrow. "Well, I have to pack first, don't I?"

"Alright, but hurry up.."
