From Kill To Kiss (Kakashi x OC)

"WHAT?" Might Guy yelled, making him the center of attention at the bar. "Y-you two live together?!"

Yumika shook her head. "No, no! It's not what you thin--!"

"Well, you do sleep in my bed..." Kakashi added quietly.

Yumika hid her face in her hands, turning the same shade of her eyes.

He smirked as he pushed his empty bowl of stew forwards, then pulled his mask back on. "Thank you for the meal."

"So how long you gonna stay here?" Guy lowered his voice.

Yumika nibbled on her lower lip, in thought. She hadn't even considered leaving yet. "I actually am not too sure.."

Kakashi was hardly paying any attention. He just sat there reading his book. It was almost as if he didn't want to get involved with the topic. They all finished their meals and Might Guy bid 'adieu to his fellow shinobi friends'. Kakashi still had his face stuck into his book while they were walking home. Yumika folded her hands behind her back as they walked.

Yumika was deep in thought the entire time they walked. Guy was right..when would she return back to the Land of Waves? She couldn't stay with him forever.. well, she could.. but would she really want to?

Kakashi seemed to sense her distress. He lowered his book and peered at her from the corner of his eye.

"Something bothering you?" he asked.

Yumika shook her head but was hardly noticeable due to the dark sky. "Nothing, really. I was just thinking about what Guy said..about going back. I mean, I should be going back soon.."

"You don't have to," he replied, not looking at her. "We'd all love to have you back here."

"Maybe, but I'm still worried about everyone ther--!"

"Forget about them. They're in the past. Worry about the present." he cut in harshly.

Yumika didn't reply.

"I'd hate to see you leave now, considering we only recently got reunited."

"I have to go back."

He lifted his book in front of his face. "Well, I dunno..it's your choice. Just think about it, okay?"

"..alright," she agreed halfheartedly.

Kakashi slowly opened the door and waited for her to go inside.

"I'm going to call it a night."

"Okay. I'll be out for a bit." he turned around and left.

Going to her room, she quickly got changed and dropped onto the bed. Instead of falling asleep, she stared at the ceiling.

Kakashi climbed upon the roof, then stretched out his legs, and carefully sat down. He opened his book to the correct page. Would he really be affected if Yumika moved back? Part of Kakashi didn't seem to care if she stayed or not, while the other parts of him almost wanted her to stay forever.

Yumika could make a good life partner, as she offered good Kunoichi skills and hospitality. She was tolerable personality wise and.. he had to admit, she was pretty cute.

He smiled at the thought of her briefly, then shook the thoughts out of his head and turned the page.
