When Kakashi woke up the next morning, he gave a stretch and a yawn before swinging his legs to the side of the bed, ready to stand up. He was feeling more strong and refreshed compared to last night.

After freshening up in the bathroom, Kakashi proceeded to pack up his things, which didn't take too long since he only had one backpack. He tied his headband on his forehead and tilted it to cover his left eye, as he always did. Sliding the door open, he left his room after looking at it for one last time before making his way down to the front desk.

"Hello, Hatake-san," a nurse bowed respectfully. "Feeling better already?"

"Yes, thank you," he signed some forms for her quickly and nodded at her. "Goodbye."

As he made his way outside, he walked by the waiting room and stopped in his tracks. Yumika and Guy were sitting on the couch, fast asleep. She had her arms folded, her head leaning to the side, while Guy snored on her shoulder. A woolly blanket was shared between the two, though it was mostly hogged by Yumika.

'Don't tell me they stayed here all night,' Kakashi thought to himself, a small smile forming on his masked lips.

He heard an off snore and noticed Guy's eyes reluctantly open. As he rubbed the sleep out of them, Guy noticed that his rival was standing right in front of him.

"Huh?! *snort* Kakashaaay!" Guy widened his eyes, scrambling to sit up straight. Yumika was a heavy sleeper, so she continued to snooze on.

"I told you guys to go home and get some rest," Kakashi said.

"I know, and I really wanted to," Guy spoke a bit quieter since Yumika was asleep. "But she insisted that she'd stay the night, so I stayed back too to give her company."

Kakashi looked at the woman snoring gently and scoffed, "Even after I told her not to. That fool." Then he examined Guy's arm, noticing the sling was gone, "Your arm seems better."

"Yup, I had them remove the sling before we crashed for the night." Guy exercised his arm a bit, wincing slightly, "Just hurts a bit now. And you?"

"Better. I was just discharged so I'm probably going to go back home."

"Sounds great!" Guy yawned ferociously, "Oh, I sure miss my bed! Y'know, these seats make terrible beds; I think my back hurts more than my arm! Good thing I had Yumimi's shoulder, though."

Kakashi crouched down in front of Yumika, placing a gloved hand upon her cheek, "We should head back, then; both of you must be exhausted."

"Good idea!" Guy stood up. "Now to wake this slugabed up!" As he was about to shake her arm, Kakashi smacked his hand away. "Ow!"

"Idiot. Let her sleep." Kakashi lowered. "I suppose I'll have to carry her, then."

Guy protested, "But y-you just got discharged! You're probably still tired! I can do it."

"It's alright." Kakashi decided, then mused quietly. "It really is the least I can do for her."

Deciding it was better not arguing, Guy helped slide Yumika onto Kakashi's back, folding her arms around Kakashi's neck. Guy was hoisting two backpacks on his good shoulder: one his own and the other Kakashi's. They finally departed the hospital, with the sun rising into the now orangey blue horizon.

Kakashi and Guy were talking quietly to each other, making sure to not wake Yumika up. It was around twenty minutes when she began to stir on her own.

"Mm.." her eyes reluctantly fluttered open. As she opened her eyes, she realized there was a smoky grey bush by her face. "Huh?"

Guy turned his head and grinned, "Well, good morning, Yumimi! Slept well?"

"What.." she always had a hard time shaking the sleep out of her, especially when she was tired.

"Give her a few moments," Kakashi advised while turning his head to glance at her through his peripheral vision, "Yo~"

Realizing that she was so close to him made her face flush, "Uh..uh.." She then lost her grip on him and slid to the ground. "Ah!"

"You alright?" Kakashi asked, turning around to chuckle at her. He was used to her being clumsy whenever she was shy.

"Y-yes.." she stood up, brushing off her long skirt. Clearing her throat, she tried to keep it casual, "So, how are you feeling now, Kakashi?"

"I'm fine," he replied. "I appreciate you staying back at the hospital."

"Hey, I was there to--!" Guy tried saying but stopped, realized the two were ignoring him.

Yumika gave a small laugh, "It was nothing, really. Besides, I had nothing better to do."

"You could've gone home and slept, I mean." Guy pointed out. "But nonetheless, still sweet of you!"

"I'm glad Guy stayed with me, it made it seem less awkward," Yumika admitted, averting her eyes to blush.

"Hm?" Kakashi questioned, not knowing what she meant.

Guy blinked in confusion, "Well, anyway, I'm starving. And I don't want poor Yumimi to go home and cook more. Let's eat out."

"Fine by me," Kakashi shrugged. "You okay with that, Yumi?"

She nodded, "Of course!"

Once the three of them found a restaurant, they got settled at a table and ordered food. Kakashi, Guy and Yumika were making small talk while they waited for their food to arrive. Guy was enlightening Yumika about the mission they had.

"--and I was like 'pow! pow! pow!' with my arms and legs and I taijutsu'd the heck outta the enemies!" Guy was very expressive when telling stories, with plenty of hand gestures too. "Course, Kakashi was cool too, but he used his Sharingan for so long that he fainted! Hehe!" He broke into a childish giggle, making Yumika laugh.

"Tch, at least my arm wasn't poisoned," Kakashi mumbled.

"Whatever~" Guy shrugged, taking a sip from his glass. "I'll be back from the restroom."

As he got up to leave, Yumika and Kakashi continued talking casually.

"Quite the story." she took a sip of water. "I sure missed out."

"Kinda wish you were there," he replied. "so I could dump Guy over to you. That man never shuts up."

She laughed, placing her cup down. The fluttery feeling in her chest had been happening since last night and she couldn't shake it off. It got more intense whenever they would lock gazes. To her luck, he slipped his novel out of his pocket and diverted his focus on it rather than her. She almost sighed out loud in relief.

After a rather long pause, she piped up, "You didn't get hurt anywhere else, right?"

"Nah," he replied shortly. "You really do enjoy worrying over me, don't you, Yumi?"

She was a bit thrown back by the question, "Well, yeah, it's because I care about you."

He gave a short chuckle, lowering his book over to make direct eye contact with her.

"You might as well be my wife, then."
