This is literally the longest thing I've ever written and I chose to finish this up in time for April Fool's Day instead of do one of my two projects due... tomorrow and Wednesday? Hope yall enjoy the ultimate sacrifice of my free time that is this fic. (BTW this was a merge of two requests from I don't even remember who at this point but I hope y'all like it)
It's early morning, near breakfast time. Nothing can be heard but a few hushed whispers from the kitchen.
"Do you think they'll notice right away?"
"Who knows? Do they have different perscriptions? We're the same person."
"Yeah, but we don't need glasses. Do they have lenses at all?"
The two shut up as a sleepy Patton walks down the stairs in search of a morning cup of coffee. He decides to ignore the muffled snickering from Princey and Virgil as he starts the coffee pot.
It's only when he sees Logan coming down the stairs wearing rounded glasses while the other two laugh hysterically that he realizes what's going on. He can't quite tell what emotions seeing Logan wearing his glasses makes him feel, because there's several of them. He particularly can't figure out why he's blushing. He feels at his face, which he can feel is warm, finding perfectly rectangular frames on his glasses. He quickly takes them off and trades with Logan as the laughter dies down.
Why is that so funny? No one can quite tell. It just is.
"Thank you for that very pleasant practical joke," Logan says, being clearly sarcastic but in a way that didn't quite show in his voice. "It's just what I wanted to wake up to."
"No problemo, Microsoft Nerd," Roman says.
"You've used that before."
"You're no fun." The coffee machine beeps, so Patton stands up to get everyone coffee. He takes care in making his and Logan's just right, but for Roman's coffee, he dumps in salt instead of sugar. Virgil usually drinks his coffee black, but he throws in salt in sugar's stead anyway.
Everyone calmly takes a sip at once. Roman and Virgil immediately spit theirs back into their cups. Patton can't keep the smug smile off of his face.
"Did you do this," Roman accuses. Patton shrugs innocently. "Alright. If it's a prank war you want, it's a prank war you'll get." Virgil nods his agreement.
"Me and Logan against you and Virgil?" Before Roman can agree, Logan shakes his head, setting down his coffee mug on the table.
"Oh no, I won't be participating, thank you."
"Fair enough," Virgil starts, "but we'll still be pranking you. Feel free to join in at any time, but we're not going easy on you just because you're not pranking us."
"I'd prefer you didn't, but do your worst. I'll be in my room if you need me." Logan dramatically takes his coffee upstairs with him so he can drink it as he works on god knows what.
"So we're all in agreement? Virgil and I will be pranking you and Logan and you'll prank us in return?"
"May the best team win," Patton says darkly.
~~~
Virgil wakes up, immediately on guard as he remembers the war. He slowly gets out of bed, gets dressed, and does the rest of his morning routine, entirely expecting a prank around every corner. But when he goes to put on his makeup... it's nowhere to be found.
He tears apart his bathroom, then his whole room, looking for at least some foundation. But it's just not there. After maybe twenty minutes, Virgil decides he can't just hide in his room all day, tempting as it is. He makes his hair fall as far in front of his eyes as it can before heading to the kitchen. Princey is sitting at the table, and his jaw falls open as he sees Virgil without the foundation and eyeshadow.
