These small extended endings are going to be short and also a little rough around the edges as I didn't want to give too much of a future plot away, yet all will be left open-ended in case you guys vote on them to be continued for a few chapters. :D

I sat with Julia as she was braiding my hair, we had been talking about a few of the boys within the city that she had found attractive, though she was fully aware and prepared that she was to marry Pompey. She knew all about where I had come from and that I was a former slave, turned rebel, turned Roman woman. She thought it was amazing to see where I had come from to where I was now, constantly asking me questions about my past and my friends who have years since passed.

"Do you think Naevia and Diona would have liked me?" She questioned me as I turned slightly to look at her. "I think they would have loved you." I told her, though to be fair they both would have hated her simply because she was Roman.

After what Lucretia and Batiatus had put both girls through, how Diona died and what Naevia had to endure. I was not so sure I could blame them for hating the Roman people. Yet here I was pretending to be one to stay alive, in love with one, and adoring another. The girl just smiled at me nodding, "I would have loved to meet them. They sound fantastic." She told me.

"Possibly in another life." I told her softly.

We both heard the door slam shut near the front of the villa as I looked over at Julia. "I hate when he gets like this, I wish he was as he was before he left. He's so consumed by the Senate these days." She told me as I just let out a heavy sigh, "Head to the market, I will deal with your father." I told her as she lowered her head to me slightly before I left the room to find Caesar pacing in ours.

"What was that? You scared Julia nearly half to death. She worries about you." I told him as he turned to face me.

"Apologies." He sighed sitting down on the couch that was facing the open archway facing the gardens. "They keep postponing the votes, Marcus and Pompey are growing weary of me... I could lose consul. We could lose our lives." He stated.

"Doubtful, we've become fairly popular in the eyes of the citizens. Even the slaves favour you, which considering three years ago... that on its own should tell you plenty."

He pulled me down once I had reached him so that I was sitting on his lap, "Be careful." I teased as he placed his hands on the bump that had grown to bursting in the last year.

"I still worry, Jana... soon Julia will be out of my reach to protect her. This child should I fail or be killed will never see old age. If I die, there will be none here to protect you."

"Must you always talk with such certainty of death? What happened to the strong fearless man I fell in love with back in Sinuessa?" I questioned him. "A bunch of old shits in white robes causing you to cower in fear? You are Gaius Julius Caesar... we will sort this out." I told him as he smirked.

"Then what should I do?" He asked me.

"Well, perhaps we could make the decrepit fucks vote your way." I told him as he furrowed his brow. "Make them?" He questioned me. "I could approach some men with coin... see to it that they are persuaded to vote towards your suggestions. Only need to go for those that are causing the most noise, the others will follow suit when they see what could happen if they do not." I told him, "Though in doing this you may paint a picture of yourself to be a man of force and not reason."
