Heya Peeps!

Sorry for the incredibly late update, I'm working on chapter 42 once this is posted as I -1) think this chapter is awful as it took me nearly a week to write and that's not in one go either so it feels disjointed.2) because it took so long for me to post it :PHOWEVERFew more chapters and the reveal of Julius Caesar :P so maybe that will make you not hate me?We'll see...sorry again... xoxoxo

Also as always anything in  BOLD is in German.

I felt the weight of a warm blanket as it was put over my shoulders looking back to see Spartacus the one whose hands were at play, "Gratitude." I told him as I tightened the sheet around my shoulders, he took a seat next to me watching as I was Gannicus make attempt to learn the language of my kin from my brother.

"I feel it is I who owes you a rather long overdue debt of gratitude." He told me with a soft smile.

"Me? I do not see why." I smiled back.

"Had it not been for your words in my head, your attempts to see wife returned to loving arms, your friendship. I do not think we would be here. I would have certainly made foolish attempt in that courtyard, if not then... than with Glaber's wife... you speak words of wisdom." He told me.

"I speak only as I feel... fact that you listen to those words only proves that you feel the same way not that my words should be held in any sort of higher esteem."

Spartacus nodded to me, "Have you yet spoken to Mira?" He asked me as I nodded.

"She misses you... Are you going to continue to torture her without your warmth?"

The man let out a heavy sigh from beside me, "She was going to kill Ilithyia and her unborn child... the deed would have forever changed Mira, it has already done so."

I let out a soft laugh, "Have the lives I've taken not changed me? Spartacus we cannot assume to know what will or won't change a person only ourselves... Had Mira killed Ilithyia, the only ones who would have been stained by such would be you and Glaber."

He nodded, "You are right though I cannot give her what she wants from me." He told me. "Your heart." I sighed as he smiled to me. "Come we must turn thoughts to less gloomy of subjects." He told me as he helped me up off the ground. He lead me through the many drunks towards the wall so we could take position of the watch during the festivities.

Looking out across the land I couldn't help but feel myself fill with uncertainty a thing Spartacus no doubt had noticed with my body contorting in such a tense manor. He looked over to me ready to speak when his voice was quickly interrupted by Gannicus'.
