Part 3||Chapter 8

Jada stood by the bedroom door telling herself over and over again not to cry. She was trying to fight the tears but couldn't as she let out a little whimper. She wiped her eyes and sniffles as more tears ran down her face. She swung the bedroom door open and made her way downstairs as she wiped her tears away.
"Why are you acting this way towards me? Thats all I wanna know" Jada said walking into the living room where Elijah was sitting. He sat slouched down on the couch with his head down. It was dark but the light on his phone beamed on his face.
He didn't say nothing he kept his attention on his phone.
"Elijah?" Jada said as her voice cracked. She wiped her eyes as more tears came.
"Crying for what man" he lowly said.

"Because look how you treating me...You can't even look at me? What I do? Just tell me what I did so we can fix this" she said. She sniffled as she sat beside him with tears running down her face. Elijah glanced at her but he quickly looked away, it hurt him seeing her upset because of his actions.
"You can't even look at me, please...please just tell me what I did" Jada cried as she lifted the bottom of her shirt to wipe her eyes. Her stomach poked out. Elijah looked at her stomach than at her face. They just stared at each other.
"Please-" Jada whispered as she buried her face into his neck as she hugged him. She sniffled. Elijah could feel her tears run down his neck.
"Tell me what I did" she whispered as she squeezed her eyes shut hugging him tighter. All she wanted was his love and affection. Elijah touched her lower back.

"You didn't do nothing....it's me." He sighed. Jada slowly stopped hugging him and sat up straight just staring at him.
"I-I don't think this is working out" he said. Jada scrunched up her face, she never took her eyes off him. He glanced down.
"You don't think WHAT is working out?" Jada asked already knowing what he was hinting. Elijah sighed. Jada stood up.
"Say what you gotta say Elijah" she said growing annoyed. He remained quiet as he twisted his mouth to the side. He cleared his throat and looked at her.
"I don't think we should be together...I'm gonna take care of our baby and do what I gotta do as a father. But-But I just can't be with you anymore Jada. I'm sorry" he said. He was expecting Jada to spas out but she didn't. Hearing those words shattered Jada's heard, but it took strength and the health and well-being of her baby not to smash this glass elephant over his head. Jada widened her eyes as she shook her head.

"Ok, good. I was tired of being tied down anyway, another nigga will appreciate us" Jada said nonchalantly.
"What!" Elijah said as he stood up.
"You heard me!" Jada said. She shook her head and looked down at the floor.
"I hate you but I don't mean it" she said as she began to cry.
"Jada, I wasn't tryna make you cry" he said as he gently grabbed her wrist. She snatched away.
"BUT YOU DID! Please just go. I'm so fucking stressed out I can't deal with you and this bullshit right now" she said as she quickly walked away.

A few days later....
The rain made a rhythm as it hit her car. Jada sat parked outside the doctors office. She had an appointment in 15 minutes and Elijah still hasn't showed up. Even though they haven't seen or talked to each other in a few days, she would figure he would remember her appointment since they was finally finding out the gender. They was gonna have a gender reveal but opted out of it. Elijah been calling and texting her but she ignores it and leaves it on read. At this point she was feed up, she was tired of stressing about him and just need to focus on giving birth to her baby in 3 weeks. Jada was also going to cancel her baby shower but decided not too since she already invited people and rented a venue. She was suppose to have a baby shower a month ago but shit came up.

Jada sucked her teeth sending Elijah a text.
