Chapter 19

Cold nights.

'Vee'

It was now december. We where almost home. As we ran and travled snow covered every thing. Two days until Christmas eve. That night with two days to go, i sat down with the outhers around the campfire. We all huddled, for we were cold. I sat in Alex's arms as we slowly rocked back and fourth. The others where all huddled close to the camp fire, trying to get warm. I pulled out ira and turned her on.

"Oh hello Vee oh and You too alex. Its been a while."

I smiled as alex chuckled. "Yeah it has. I have a question." I say.

Ira chuckles. "Shoot." I smile and get up draging alex with me.

"We'll be back guys, i just want to talk to alex." I tell the outher. I here crystal murmur.

"More like make out." The others laugh and me and alex walk off.

'Alex'

"So why are you draging me?" I laugh as vee stops when we are away from the group.

"I wanna ask ira some stuff about the thing that bit me. I dont want the outhers to be with us because i want to run with you for a bit."

She then looked at ira.

"Ira, you remember when i used you in that cave after i was bitten? Well merage said it was a malum bite. What is a malum?"

Ira looked at me then skuttled to a file cabanit. A folder poped out.

She began to read it. "A malum is a creatchure made by chantel years ago. The meaning of malum is evil in latin. They are evil, they atack merclessly. There bites cause terrible pain and the venom of the bite will slowly destroy you skin, creating larg cuts all over."

Vee sighed. "No wonder i still have scars on my arm."

She shuddered at the memory, her grip tightaning on my hand.

"Thanks ira." Ira smiled and vee shut her off. Vee sat down and i went beside her, drawing her into my arms. She smiled up at me.

"Lets go for a run. Race you to the medow and back to the outhers." We had found a medow erleyer.

'Vee'

I lept up and shifted, alex right on my heels. I loves the feeling of racing, i makes me feel so free. I could here alex gaining on me and lauging into my head. The snow blurred my vision, but i just shook it off. Where Wolves have incredible senses. Sight, hearing, taste, you name it. I lowered my head and shot forward. I reached the medow and spun around. I ran past alex who had yet to reach the edge of the meddow. Befor long, he was just behind me. He pulled up beside and i barked at the black and grey wolf that was alex. He shoved against my side and i shoved back, causing us to trip and tumble tail over paws into the clearing. We both shifted and we rolled into the clearing where the outher are. They all jumped when alex and i piled on the ground. I was sprawled across his chest laughing. The outher stood over us as we laughed uncontrolably.

'Alex'

We couldent stop lauging, even thought the snow was cold we still where laughing. Eventually vee and i calmed and i sat up causing her to roll of me and her start to laugh again. I shook my head smileing and i stood up, pulling her up with me. I saw the looks on crystal, rebecca, merage, katherine and elena's faces and i started laughing. Then every one else laughed along and we all settled around the fire in high sperets. Vee was leaned up against me as i watched the flames dance.

'Azura'

They where wierd, Alex and Vee. We all settled in for the night and we all huddled close to one another and the fire. The night wore on, yet i couldent sleep. The outhers where asleep, evan my sister was lightly snoring from beside me. I smiled. It was just a matter of time untill my powers come in. I lauged qietly to my self. I couldent wait for christmas eve.
