It's been three weeks since Optimus and the others arrived. Sky  sadly lost her job due to it shutting down. That left only one other grocery store in town. Sky started spending more time with the Autobots. Agent Fowler offered her a job to be the bots official liaison inside. She accepted. She loved spending time with the bots. Although she wished she could understand Bubblebee. "Optimus, I'm reading a fresh energon signal" Rachet said. "Autobots, trasform and roll out." The bots transformed and Rachet opened the now working ground bridge. Sky stayed behind with Rachet. "So, what should we do in the meantime?" Sky asked. "We can monitor there progress." Rachet said. "Right. I will say, you've all adjusted here well." Sky said. "Yes, but I do miss Cybertron." Rachet said. "I understand. Your homesick" Sky said. "We don't get sick, unless there's a plague involved or something." Rachet said coldly. "That's not what I mean, Rachet. Homesick means you miss where your from. I was homesick when I first moved here. But, it grew on me" Sky said. "you always lived on Earth, how can you be homesick?" Rachet asked.  Sky sighed. "Rachet, I may be from earth, but as you know already, there's different places on Earth. I originally from Ohio. But I moved here to get a fresh start." Sky said. "I see, so homesickness is like you want to go home but can't?" Rachet asked. "For you, yes, for me, no. I can go back to Ohio anytime I want. But, I know you can't go back to your home. It will get easier" sky said. Rachet nodded. "Rachet, do you read?" Optimus' voice called though the speaker. "Loud and clear" Rachet said. "The Decepticons are attacking us." Optimus said. "Optimus, you have the whole team there" Rachet said. "Please send a ground bridge. Hurry" Optimus said. Rachet pulled the switch and the ground bridge fired up. Arcee, Bubblebee, Bulkhead, Cliffjumper and Optimus all came through the portal. "What happened?" Skyler asked. "They came out of nowhere. I think they just arrived" Optimus said. Sky got tense. "That's bad, right?" Sky asked. "Unfortunately yes. We will protect you Sky. I promise." Optimus said. Sky blushed. 'wait, why am I blushing?' she thought. Rachet cleared his throat. "Okay, let me make sure none of you were hurt. Me may have energon, but not a lot of it." Rachet said. Optimus went with Rachet first.

"Mind telling me what that was all about?" Rachet asked. "What are you talking about?" Optimus said. "You like her" Rachet said. "What do you mean by that?" Optimus said. "Your blushing" Rachet said. "I am not. Autobots don't blush" Optimus said as his metal cheeks turned red. "Optimus, you know I know you better than that. You've been like this once before" Rachet said. "that was different. I wasn't a prime yet" Optimus said. "Plus, she made her choice to fallow him instead of me" he added. "Optimus, just because you were Orion pax then, doesn't mean it's different. And I know Arachnid made her choice. You like Skyler. I can tell." Rachet said.

Optimus sighed. "Okay, I admit I do. But, she's a human and I'm a giant autobot. It would never work" Optimus said. "You never know until you try Optimus" Rachet said. Optimus sighed. "Alright, I'll talk to her." He said.

Rachet checked the other bots to make sure they were alright. Sky sat on the couch that was already there when they came into the base. She was thinking about Optimus. 'ok, I admit I like him, but he's so, serious. And he's a Autobot. I'm a simple human. It... It will never work.' sky thought. Optimus approached her. He cleared his throat. Sky jumped in surprise. "Optimus, I you scared me" she said. "Sorry. I didn't mean to. Would you like to take a drive with me?" He asked. "Sure, why not" sky said. Optimus trasformed and Sky got in the passenger seat.

Optimus drove out of the base and took sky somewhere they could talk alone. He found a secluded area where he could trasform without humans around. He had Sky get out of his vehicle mode. Sky hopped out and Optimus trasformed into his bot mode. He looked nervous. "Optimus, are you alright?" Sky asked. "Sky, I... I'm not sure how to do this" he said. Sky was confused. "Do what?" She asked. Optimus took a deep breath and knelt down as far as he could. "Sky, since I met you, you've helped us all out. But I've grown to like you." Optimus said. "Well, y'all came from a different planet and I figured you needed help." Sky said. Optimus sighed. "I know, but that's not what I mean. I mean I like you a lot. More than a friend." Optimus said. Sky realized what he was saying. She smiled. "I feel the same" she said. Optimus smiled. "Would you like to go out with me? I think I'm asking this right" Optimus said nervously. "Yes Optimus. I would like to" she said with a smile. He trasformed back into a truck and took her  to base.

Once at base he let her out and went back to bot mode. "How did it go?" Rachet asked. Sky blushed. "She said yes. We are... What's the word you used?" Optimus asked. Sky laughed. "Dating" sky said. Rachet smiled. "Congrats. Now, I need to check for energon signals." Rachet said as he looked at his computer.

"So um, sky" Optimus said. "Yes?" She said. "Now that we are dating, I guess we can spend more time alone?" Optimus said. "Yes. Don't worry, you'll get used to it. I promise." Sky said. She gave him a kiss. He was shocked but found a way to kiss back.
