A few weeks later, bulkhead and Miko were watching a monster truck rally on TV. Optimus, bumblebee, and Arcee were in the field trying to find a cybertronian data cylinder. Skywalker decided to watch the monster truck rally too.

Rachet told bulkhead he could help Optimus in the field. Bulkhead didn't think Optimus needed his help. "Bulkhead, with me not able to be in the field until the baby comes, Optimus needs all the help he can get." Skywalker said. Bulkhead rolled his optics. Rachet was excited that a data cylinder was found on Earth.

Optimus called saying the Decepticons were attacking and needed backup. Rachet opened the bridge and bulkhead went though. "I have an important mission for you too Miko" rachet said. "Really?" Miko asked excited. Rachet handed her a mop. "Aw" Miko complained. Skywalker got up and went to help rachet with stuff. They didn't realize Miko snuck out.

They got a call from Miko. "I'm by the thingamajig" Miko said. "Thingam... The data cylinder?" Rachet asked. "Yes, can you bridge it out of here?" Miko asked. Rachet reopened the bridge but Miko asked to open it closer. But she couldn't provide coordinates.

When they returned, rachet was told to look at bulkhead. The cylinder zapped bulkheads head. But the cons got the cylinder itself. Rachet observed bulkhead just to be safe. "We have to do a proper Brian scan" rachet told bulkhead. "Come on doc there's nothing up there to scan" bulkhead said. Optimus and the others went to try to get the cylinder back.

Rachet told bulkhead and Miko to clean up. Skywalker shook her head. "Ug, he's raw with power" Miko said. "ha ha yeah. That's Rachet for ya. He's no vector square alright" bulkhead said. "Hu?" Skywalker and Miko said. "Hey, do we have any paint around here?" Bulkhead asked. "Art project?! Sweet" Miko said. They found paint and bulkhead started paint formulas of math and science. "Whoa. What is this?" Skywalker said. "Rachet. You have to see what bulks painting here" Miko said. Rachet looked annoyed at first until he saw it. "That is not art. It's science."

They scanned bulkhead's head again. They saw he had Living data in his brain. "So is this genius or gibberish?" Arcee asked. "I can't be 100% certain. But these appear to be the formula for a synthetic energon" Rachet said. Bumblebee buzzed excitedly. "We hit the motherload?" Arcee asked. "Miko, do you know what this means?" Bulkhead asked. "I'm not even sure what it means." Skywalker said. "Well as you know energon is our lifeblood and fuel. With the natural stuff in short supply on Earth, this could solve a lot of problems" bulkhead said. "Such as giving us the edge we need to win this war." Optimus said. "we got the goods and all Megatron got was an empty can" Arcee said. "How often do I get to use my noggin to save the day?" Bulkhead asked. Over the next several hours, bulkhead was continuing the formula. They did another brain scan. "This was bulkhead brain as you saw it earlier. This scan was taken just moments ago." Rachet said. The data looked like it was taking over his brain.

"It is how I fear. The data is rapidly and aggressively rewriting bulkheads brain." Rachet said. "What does that mean?" Skywalker asked. "By the time bulkhead finishes the formula, he will forget everything" rachet said. Skywalker was worried. "I can't risk losing another one of our own. I have an idea" Optimus said. He was going to find a way to get the cylinder back from Megatron. It was a risk he was willing to make. Optimus created a device that would give off a signal as if bulkhead left the base so Megatron would come looking for him. Skywalker was worried. Miko ended figuring out that bulkhead was losing his mind. Rachet admitted they didn't want to worry her. Bulkhead was starting to forget most things. Including Miko. Skywalker knew how close Miko and bulkhead had become.

Rachet and Skywalker were trying to figure out a way to safely get the data back to the cylinder. They didn't notice Miko opening the ground bridge and taking bulkhead with her.

When they saw they were gone, they knew they had to tell Optimus. Rachet quickly told Optimus that bulkhead and Miko were out of the base and they had their coordinates. Optimus and the others quickly got to where they were. Skywalker hoped bulkhead was okay. When they returned, bulkhead was unconscious. Miko looked very upset.

They did a scan. "The data has been completely purged of the data. However bulkhead remains unresponsive." Rachet said. "That's because just like the data, his mind went heaven ward. Lost to the stars. It's my fault you will never learn the rest of the formula. And it's my fault bulkhead is gone forever" Miko said while crying.

"Don't give up Miko" Skywalker said. "it's too early to know the extent of his condition. Maybe a familiar sight, sent or even a sound, could bring him back." Rachet said. Miko grabbed her guitar. She played a note of Bulkhead's favorite earth song that they both loved.

Within moments, bulkhead woke up and acted like he was playing the rest of the song. "I love that song!" He practically yelled. He saw Miko looking relieved. "Miko!" He said. Everyone was glad he was safe. Bulkhead took Miko home for the night. Rachet got straight to work to start what they had with the synthetic energon formula. They knew they didn't have the whole formula, but they could try to finish it. then they would have a big advantage over the Decepticons.
