A couple weeks later Arcee and Jack went on a mission. Optimus and Skywalker were relaxing since there was no con activity. Sky's stomach was more noticeable. Rachet did an ultrasound but couldn't tell what the baby was. Skywalker was alittle disappointed. "Rachet, any word from Arcee about the energon?" Optimus asked. "nothing yet Optimus." Rachet said. Optimus had a bad feeling. A spider came down and landed on Optimus' shoulder. He just brushed it off him. "Honey, are you alright?" Skywalker asked. "Just feel on edge I guess." Optimus said.

Bumblebee, Raf, Miko, and bulkhead came into the base. Miko was being the excited one of course. bumblebee was buzzing to Raf about video games.

Several hours passed. "Rachet, requesting a ground bridge back to base" Arcee said over the radio. Rachet opened the bridge to see Arcee and Jack in a good mood. "I have to talk to Optimus partner." Arcee said. "Partner? Haven't heard you say that since cliff" Skywalker said. "sky, maybe you and Optimus need to hear this." Arcee said. They went to a room where it was just the three bots and Jack. "What is it Arcee." Optimus asked. Arcee took a deep breath. "Arachnid. She's on Earth" Arcee said. Optimus was shocked. "Arachnid?" Skywalker asked. "She was the bot I liked before she betrayed us and became a con. And...." Optimus trailed off. "She killed my first partner. Tailgate." Arcee said. "She nearly killed me" jack added.

Skywalker knew not just any one could kill an autobot. Skywalker didn't realize that Arcee had lost two partners. Arcee told Optimus what they went though that day.

A few more days went by. Rachet was messing around with sound wave frequencies. "Optimus, your never going to believe this. I just located the deception war ship" rachet said. "how did he penetrate the cloaking device?" Skywalker asked. "I was wondering the same thing" Optimus said. "I didn't, I was messing around with sound wave frequencies when I stumbled across it." Rachet said. "With Megatron gone, and the element of surprise, we can end this war" Arcee said. Then a beeper went off. "Also on the same frequency, an autobot cargo ship" Rachet said. "the Decepticons can wait, there may be autobots in distress. Rachet being your medical kit" Optimus ordered. Rachet grabbed it and set the bridge. "Be careful love." Skywalker said. "I will." Optimus said as he and Rachet went though the Portal.

A couple of hours later rachet was screaming for a ground bridge. Skywalker pulled the switch. He was holding a weak looking Optimus. "What happened?" Skywalker asked. "the autobots were killed by a virus. Optimus got some of the effected energon on him. I'm not sure what it is yet. Help me get him to sick bay" rachet explained. Bulkhead and bumblebee got Optimus to sick bay. Skywalker went by his side while rachet did a scan. "syphonic plague. It only spreads if there is contact with the effected energon." Rachet said. "Syphonic plague? That sounds a lot like bionic plague." Skywalker said. "what was a plague doing on a cargo ship?" Jack asked. "The passengers were effected. The pledge killed millions on cybertron during the war." Arcee said. "How?" Skywalker asked.  "The pledge was part of the Decepticon biological program, created by Megatron himself." Rachet said. "you have a cure don't you?" Raf asked. "n..no...c..cure" Optimus said weakly. "Optimus, please, save your strength" rachet said. Skywalker was disappointed. "Why would Megatron create a disease and not have a cure for it? I mean, what if he caught it by accident?" Jack asked. "It's not like we can ask him jack" Skywalker said. "Yeah, he's picking up lug nuts" bulkhead said. "But, we might be able to access the deception data base. For the moment we still have a lock on the war ship location." Rachet said. "bee, with me" Arcee said. "Arcee. Please hurry" Skywalker said as she took Optimus' hand. She nodded and rachet opened the bridge.

"R.. rachet" Optimus said weakly. Rachet turned to him. "Wh.. were...you" Optimus started. "Infected? No" rachet answered. Optimus just nodded. "if it's here I don't see it" Arcee said though the com. "Are you sure?" Rachet said. "I've checked the entire data base" Arcee said. Rachet and Arcee started arguing and bumblebee was buzzing in the background. "What is it bee?" Arcee said annoyed. Then there was silence. "what? what is it?" Rachet asked. "Megatron. He's.. alive" Arcee said. Everyone was shocked. "That's impossible" rachet said. "Well I'm staring right at him." Arcee said. "Megatron?" Optimus said weakly  "Good news is he isn't exactly staring right back." Arcee said. "time to end this" "Wait don't!" Rachet yelled. "One good reason" Arcee said. "he might be our only chance to save Optimus" rachet said. "What do you mean?" Arcee asked. "I'm confused too" Skywalker said. "is he showing signs of brain activity?" Rachet asked. "Spiking hard. His sick mind is still at work" Arcee said. "Perfect. If there is a cure, Megatron might be the only one who knows it. You must enter his brain, and find it" rachet said.

"Wait, is that even possible?" Skywalker asked. "For cybertronian's yes. Although, it's risky" rachet said. "Enter is brain?" Arcee asked. "The Decepticon lab should have everything you need to preform a cortical psychic patch" rachet said. "A cortical psychic patch? Have you ever preformed the procedure?" Arcee asked. "No... But I have studied it thoroughly. Invented by Decepticons, outlawed by autobots" rachet said. "Whoa, can't we hall Megatron though the ground bridge to give us time to figure this out?" Arcee asked. "He doesn't have time. It's the last thing he has. Please. Not for me, or even Optimus, but for our unborn baby, one of you must try this!" Skywalker said in tears. "I agree, I will not allow Optimus to pass knowing that Megatron out lived him" rachet said. "Skywalker, rachet, I would lay my life down for Optimus anytime anywhere, but a mind body spit..." Arcee trailed off. Bumblebee buzzed saying he will do it. "You will?" Arcee asked. "Are you sure bee?" Raf asked. "Bee is the best scout there is." Bulkhead reassured. Jack and Miko knelt down to Raf.

Arcee set up the patch and when they were ready, they could see and hear everything that bumblebee can go though. They saw bumblebee walking though a city. "Where is that?" Skywalker asked. Bumblebee buzzed. "Bumblebee said it looks like kyon. The Decepticon base back on cybertron." Raf said.

Bumblebee came across Optimus. But it wasn't really him. It was something Megatron created in his mind. Megatron started destroying different Optimus'. Bumblebee revealed him self and bumblebee tried to attack him. It didn't work. Magatron started to become more self aware. Bumblebee told magatron about Optimus and said if he let the plague kill Optimus, magatron wouldn't be able to do it himself. Magatron showed the cure. Rachet rewinded the tape and told Arcee to disconnect bumblebee. They were ready to get back to base. When they got back rachet was already working on the cure. He gave it to Optimus once it was done.

It took a day or two to get him to stand. He was still weak but much better than what he was. Everyone was clapping when he stood up. "Please, save the applause for my medic, and for my scout" Optimus said. Everyone clapped for bumblebee. Skywalker hugged bumblebee. "Thank you bee. You saved my husband" Skywalker said. Little did anyone know, that Megatron's mind was in bumblebee. "I'm out, or should I say in." Megatron said and laughed. "so this newer bot is his wife. I wonder what happened to that other human girl." Magatron thought. Magatron also noticed the baby bump on Skywalker.
