A couple weeks went by. Bulkhead was getting stronger but, he wasn't ready to go back in the field. Raf found a picture of a escape pod but it was impossible to tell if it was an Autobot or Decepticon. "We need everyone, but we are a bot short, should we call Wheeljack?" Arcee asked. "after that revenge stunt he pulled with Miko, he can stay rogue." Rachet said. "someone will need to stay to watch Orion" Skywalker said. "Bulkhead can. He's strong enough to take care of him, might be good for his healing" rachet said. "besides, Orion is 10 months old now. He can craw so he doesn't need to be held as much" Optimus said. "i know. But a baby should never be alone. They can't be alone until they are at least 12" Skywalker said. "12? 12 months?" Optimus asked. "No, 12 years. Baby's need time to grow" Skywalker said. "Oh, sorry. I should have realized. Anyways, rachet bring your medical kit in case a Autobot is hurt" Optimus said. They opened the ground bridge and went to see the pod. Bumblebee stayed behind to operate the bridge.

They arrived and there was energon leaking from the pod. Arcee touched the pod to wipe some residue off it. The pod had the Decepticon symbol. "It is of Decepticon origin" Optimus said. "and the 'con inside blew his way out" Arcee said. Then, Decepticons started attacking. "All those cons came out of one pod?" Arcee asked. "humans refer this phenomenon to a 'clown car'" rachet said. Skywalker couldn't transform for there were to many trees in the area. She shot her guns with the rest of the team behind a huge rock. Then, they heard another set of gunfire coming behind them. A bot, was coming twords them. At first they thought he was a Decepticon, but he was fighting the decorations. One of his shots hit the leaking energon. Optimus and the others, including the new bot, went behind the rock as the energon exploited. After the explosion, the new bot cheered. "Ha, too hot for you cons? Smart move shooting the energon leak" the bot said. 

"You made that shot by accident." Skywalker said. "you could have killed us all" Arcee said. "Thank you Autobot for your.... Assistance" Optimus said. "No way, your Optimus prime, he's Optimus prime" the bot said. "What is your name soldier?" Optimus asked. "Smokescreen sir" smokescreen said with a salute. "Smokescreen, nice to meet you. Honey, I hate to bring this up, but we can't exactly take him back to base" Skywalker said. "yeah, it wouldn't be the first time a friend turned out to be a foe" Arcee said.

Optimus noticed stripes on his shoulder. "I see you received your training on the cybertronian guard" Optimus said. "true that, but it was more of a boot camp by the time I joined. I didn't even get a proper graduation" smokescreen said. "there was a war going on" Arcee said. "hey, all I ever wanted was to be a soldier, to defend cybertronian, what I got was guard duty at iacon" smokescreen said. "The Hall of records of all places, Optimus, do you find this suspicious at all?" Rachet asked. "smokescreen, what was your duty inside the hall?" Optimus asked.

"Guarding alpha Trion during what turned out to twords the end of the war." Smokescreen said. "you were guarding the main archivist?" Optimus asked. "true that. At first I was alitte up set about guarding a old bots back" he said. He noticed Optimus' expression looked alitte mad. "sorry, but the big A turned out to be a great friend and mentor. I mean he was the one who convinced the council to help make you a prime." Optimus Expression went serious. "Bumblebee, open the ground bridge." Optimus said. "That's it? That's all you need to hear before bringing him to the party?" Arcee asked. "guys, if Alpha Trion gave that information to smokescreen, than he saw him as a trusted Ally. Optimus told me about that, only a few bots know about that" Skywalker said. "well said sky" Optimus said. "One question sir" smokescreen said. "Yes" Optimus said. "why did she call you 'honey' earlier? Just curious" smokescreen said. "Skywalker is my wife. We've been married for almost 4 years now." Optimus said. "I see. I didn't realize that." Smokescreen said. They got back to base.

Miko was excited of course, but rachet and Arcee shared Miko's interest on how smokescreen came to earth in a Decepticon escape pod. Smokescree explained that the decorations raised the iacon hall and he became the last line of defense. But everything went black and he found himself on a Decepticon transport ship. He gave a guard the slip and got an escape pod. But it was a long distance escape pod and put him in stasis. Smokescreen belived it was destiny that aloud him to meet and work with Optimus prime. Optimus said that smokescreen needed more training. "Optimus, with your permission, I would like to provide that training" Skywalker said. "Granted. But first he needs a vehicle mode." Optimus said. "I'll do that Optimus. Come on smokescreen" Jack said. He and smokescreen left. Orion came up to Skywalker and raised his arms. "Aww, come here Orion" Skywalker said. She lifted him. "He was crying for you since you left" bulkhead said. "He's still little. It will take him time to get used to Everybody" Skywalker said.

"Hey everyone, check this out" Raf said. "Oh please don't tell me it's another.... By the primes" rachet said. "what is it?" Skywalker asked. "a rare type of energon, red energon" Optimus said. "Here? On Earth?" Rachet asked. "what's red energon?" Raf asked. "A very rare and effective energon. When used as fuel it can give you super speed" rachet said. "have agent Fowler clear the dig sight cleared of humans in case anyone else has discovered its location" Optimus said.

It took time but agent Fowler found where the red energon was. He had the area cleared of humans. Smokescreen was still out looking for his vehicle mode. Skywalker, Arcee, bumblebee, and Optimus all went to the sight where it was. It looked like it was about to be loaded onto a boat. It was high in the air. "Seriously? Agent Fowler couldn't have had the thing lowered?" Arcee asked. "They were probably loading the mentor to be transported when they received the evaluation order" Optimus said. "It's pointless for me to fly, too short a distance" Skywalker said. "Smart, besides, we don't want it distroyed" Optimus said. Then they heard laughing. It was starscream. He had a relic that Optimus wasn't able to get called the Apex armor. Practically indestructible.

Optimus took the liberty of fighting him while everyone else went to get the red energon. It wasn't easy. Optimus was struggling against starscream. Then, a race car came though the ground bridge. It was smokescreen. He had another relic that Arcee and bumblebee got on there hunt. The phase shifter. Smokescreen kicked starscream out of the Apex armor. Starscream got a piece of the red energon and distroyed the rest. It was a disappointed but they were glad to get the Apex armor.

Bulkhead had been feeling like smokescreen would take his place. When he saw he got the armor, he realized he did a good job. Miko was trying to tell him he would still be a vital part of the team. He limped away looking upset. Skywalker grabbed her son and went to find bulkhead.

"Bulk?" Skywalker asked. "please, I need to be alone." Bulk said. "Bulkhead, I just want to say, you really are important to the team. Your our wrecker. Don't forget that." Skywalker said before going back to the main room.
