"This...this doesn't feel right," Sayaka said nervously. I knew what she meant.

"Yeah, that announcement was totally weird."

"Maybe, but staying put doesn't mean we'll be safe. Besides, aren't you guys the least bit curious to find out what's going on here?" Kyoko explained.

"She's right," I agreed.

"If we do not move forward, we learn nothing. The only choice is to push ahead."

"They said to go to the gym, right?"

The rest of us left. On the way I began creating a mental map of the area.It fit with the few things I knew about the floor plan's of Hope's Peak Academy. It was beginning to seem like we were indeed inside Hope's Peak.

When we arrived everyone who had left immediately was waiting for us.

"God, I had no idea this Hope's Peak Academy place was gonna be such a pain in the balls. It really isn't that different from the time I spent in juvie. Hell, this place is even worse!" The fact that you sound prideful when you say you were in a juvenile detention center concerns me.

"And why isn't there anyone here? Walking through the halls, I didn't see a single person..."

"Isn't that like, seriously not good?"

"Of course it's not good. We've confirmed something strange is happening here. And now it seems to fall on the 16 of us to find out what is going on," I replied.

"Th-They're just trying to spook us! They'll take down those metal plates, I'm sure of it..." Taka claimed, not seeming sure of it himself.

"All we can do is hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Nothing ventured, nothing gained." 'Prepare for the worst'? Perhaps my ideas of worst-case scenarios are different from yours, but 'the worst' is not something easily prepare for.

"Well hell, it ain't like I'm scared or nothin'. Let's just get this over with! Hey, where's whoever called us here?" Mondo yelled.

The gym appeared completely average.

"Oh. It really does look like a normal entrance ceremony," Makoto said, agreeing with my thoughts.

"See? Told ya, it's a totally normal entrance ceremony!" Please shut up now. You're lowering the IQ of the whole street, assuming that the building we are in is on a street. Either way, be quiet.

"Hey there! Howdy! Hello! Everybody here? Good! Then let's get things rolling!" *Something* popped out of the podium. How it did that, I didn't know. Nor did I particularly care. I was so preoccupied with figuring out what it was that I temporarily lost my composure and let a small look of surprise onto my face.

The something in question looked like a stuffed bear. It was black on one half and white on the other. On its left side, the black half, it had a jagged red eye that seemed to gleam slightly.

"Huh? A...teddy bear?"

"I'm not a teddy bear" I....am....Monokuma! And I am this school's headmaster! Nice to meet you all!"

"What? No you're not-" I began before I could stop myself. I quickly caught myself and fell silent. Luckily no one thought much of my reaction, given the situation.

"Whaaaaaah! The bear can talk!" Hifumi exclaimed.

"Calm down! I'm sure there's just a speaker inside it," Taka attempted to reason.

"I told you already, I'm not a teddy bear...I'm Monokuma! And I'm your headmaster!" the bear said, raising its paws in anger.

"Waaaaah! It moved!"
