Alter Ego hadn't discovered any more information. After telling it that Taeko, Hifumi and Taka were dead, we left the bathhouse. Kyoko made a few more cold criticisms towards Makoto. That was one argument I *really* didn't want to get involved in.
As soon as we left the dressing room, the obnoxious teddy bear popped up. "My heart is pound-pound-pounding away...It's pounding...with anger!"
"Y-You're not still made about that whole 'breaking into the headmaster's room' thing, are you...?" Hiro panicked.
"Oh, that little matter doesn't matter even a little. And I'm a little jealous of you guys enjoying an indecent mixed bath, but that doesn't matter, either. It's building...I feel it building...My head's about to boil over with rage!"
"D-Don't get so angry. Here, let me help you center your chakra..." The clairvoyant clapped his hands together in a plea.
"Etch this on the walls of your brain, okay? When you do something to me I do it right back...An eye for an eye, a fang for a fang..."
"Fang for a...fang? B-Be careful! He just enchanted the incantation of devastation!" I resisted the urge to facepalm.
"No...it's just a saying," Sakura corrected.
"Revenge, huh? So that means someone did something to Monokuma, right? But to annoy him that badly...there's a few things I can think of that somewhat might have done..." I trailed off, glancing at Makoto and then staring pointedly at Sakura. They both seemed to understand what I was insinuating, and stayed silent.
*Ding Dong Bing Bong*
"Mm, ahem, this is a school announcement. It is now 10pm. As such, it is officially nighttime. Soon the doors to the Dining Hall will be locked, and entry at that point is strictly prohibited. Okay then...sweet dreams, everyone! Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite..."
"So, it's nighttime. What does everyone want to do? Celeste was the one who suggested our nighttime rule, but she's gone now..." Kyoko said.
"I think we should still avoid being out at nighttime," Hina answered. "I know it'll make me feel better that way..."
"Regardless of who suggested it, not going out at nighttime makes sense. Let's keep Taeko's rule," I added.
"I agree."
"Very well then. In that case, time for bed."
Everyone returned to their rooms. I paced backwards and forwards across the room. Jin Kirigiri, the headmaster of Hope's Peak. He's possibly still in the school, and is a suspect for the orchestration of this killing game. Father of Kyoko and Ryousuke Kirigiri and son of Fuhito Kirigiri. From the Kirigiri family of detectives, but abandoned that profession to pursue talent.
Ha, talent. Yeah, right. Load of talent in this school. Bunch of brain dead morons. You could pick 16 people off the streets and have a higher total IQ. But I don't think Jin would force his precious talent to kill each other. I wouldn't put it past him to use immoral and possibly illegal methods to develop talent, but...I don't think Jin Kirigiri would do this.
I sighed. I could spend the better part of a week arguing whether or not my father could be the mastermind and get nowhere. Without evidence...I was saying that a lot lately. I had lots of theories and guesses as to what was going on, but nothing to support anything. There just wasn't any evidence.
I punched the wall, grateful for the soundproof rooms, and tore a page off the top of my notebook. Using my body to shield the paper from the camera, I wrote down everything I knew about Jin Kirigiri, before folding the page and concealing it in my pocket.
