The morning after the second class trial came quickly. As usual, we all met up in the dining hall.
"Today's count kinda sucks, huh? Toko and Byakuya still refuse to show up..." Hiro commented.
"And I haven't seen Miss Asahina anywhere."
"She said her stomach was hurting, so she's taking it easy in her room for today," Sakura said. A stomachache? Something seems off about that...
"That is rather unusual for her. Normally she is so full of energy." Celeste seemed to think it was weird as well.
"Which is exactly what makes me worry..." As long as she's still alive, it should be fine....probably.
"So it's just the eight of us, then?" Kyoko asked.
"It looks that way..." Makoto said.
"It's times like this where the committee chairman needs to get things going with a BANG!" Hiro declared. I looked at Taka. He was silent, his face clearly showing sorrow. He probably got no sleep the night after the trial.
"Or not...?"
"So, I mean...what's gonna happen now? We haven't found anyway out, and we have no idea if help's ever gonna come. Ngh! Now I'm all depressed just thinking about it..." Celeste began her speech about 'adapting' again. That smile is so fake...Celeste is the Queen of Liars, which is why it's difficult to tell, but she doesn't believe those words any more than the rest of us...
Hifumi began listing off characters-which I assumed were from whatever obscure anime he was into. He wanted to escape from this place simply because there was no 2D. What the hell is wrong with you? Sure, like whatever you want to like, but are you really that obsessed that 2D matters more to you than-oh, I don't know-seeing your family again?
Hiro offered to take the lead since he was the oldest. He's also the stupidest. Do we even need a leader?
"On a slightly better note, the third floor should have opened up," I said.
"Yeah, that's the ticket! Maybe we'll find some kind of clue this time!" Hiro exclaimed.
"Then once we're done eating, let's split up and begin looking around. Do you have any problem with that, Celeste?" Sakura asked.
"Hmm...There may well be a discovery waiting for us which may further enrich our life here."
"Er, no...the point is to look for clues," Hifumi said. That didn't stop people getting excited over the swimming pool and library.
And just at that moment, the one person we *didn't* want to see decided to barge in.
"You called for me, and so I appear! Genocide-!"
"Aah! Nobody called for you!" Hifumi squealed.
"What the...? How come it's Genocide Jill, not Toko?" Hiro asked.
"Because that's how Dissassociative Identity Disorder works, Hiro. Sometimes it's one personality, sometimes it's another," I commented, voice dripping with sarcasm.
"God, this place is just AMAZING! Finally a place where I can just be my murderous self!" Jill yelled. !Which is why I've decided to stop holding back and spread my wings! No more hiding in a cave for me! Plus, I have another battle to fight! The whole 'killer with a split personality' thing is sooo overdone. I gotta destroy that stereotype! I'll fight all day and night to murder those totally slanderous cliches!
I was torn between facepalming at the lack of logic in that statement or just going along with it. I had no intention of pissing off a serial killer, so I chose the latter and stayed silent.
