As soon as we left the bathhouse, Hina let out a joyful shout. "Isn't it awesome?! I ended up doing something totally awesome, right?!"
Just at that moment, Monokuma decided to appear. "Dun da da duun! Hina has gained enough experience to level up! So...what was this awesome something? You guys all seem in remarkably good spirits. Did something happen?!"
A few people panicked and gave frantic responses, but fortunately Celeste soon stepped in with a lie. "We were just talking about going to the bathhouse. We have not had a chance to relax in some time.
"...Huh?"
"But unfortunately, the bathhouse is not divided into men and women sections. So we decided to do rock-paper-scissors to decide which group would go first. Hina won the match for us, and that's why we are all so pleased."
"Y-Yeah, that's right!" Hina said quickly, going along with Celeste's lie.
"Well, I don't like how it turned out. Next time Makoto can do the rock-paper-scissors instead of Hiro. He *is* the Ultimate Lucky Student," I added.
"Okay, boys! Why don't you head on back to the dining hall or something. We're gonna take a nice, long bath!"
"Ahhh, jeez, what're ya gonna do, right?! We lost fair and square!"
"Well, ladies? Shall we go?"
The girls headed back into the dressing room. I left and returned to the dining hall, while the rest of the boys stuck around to complain about the situation.
A while later, Makoto, Hiro and Hifumi joined me in the dining hall. They had taken a while, and I was a little suspicious, but didn't bother prying. Soon the girls also returned, talking about how enjoyable their bath was.
Monokuma chose that moment to appear.
"We were just saying in the bath how it was about time for you to get up to something," Celeste said.
"After seeing how happy we are, an evil little monster like you would never let that last for long," Kyoko added.
"Y-You're all so terrible to me..."
"I wonder why," I remarked sarcastically.
"*Sniffle sniffle* Everyone's so cold and mean! Even after I got presents for you all!"
"...Presents?!"
"Hmmm? Oh, have I got you're attention? Puhuhu. Then let's head to the gym, where your presents await! No questions, no dilly-dallying! Get a move on, and everything will become clear!" The bear disappeared.
"Another motive?" I asked, before shrugging. "Whatever, I guess we'll find out when we get there." Not wanting to stand around and listen to the three hour long discussions these guys seem to enjoy having about every little thing, I left and went to the gymnasium.
And because I was extra lucky today, Byakuya and Toko were already there. Before any of us could say anything, the rest of our classmates arrived.
"To be kept waiting by the likes of you. Rest assured, if we had access to firearms, you'd all be dead."
"Can you even fire a gun, Byakuya?" I asked.
"That's beside the point," he replied. So he can't. That's what I thought.
"Byakuya...? Did you get here early?" Makoto asked.
"Did you forget how to walk? Is that why you're late? It's simple-right foot, left foot. Right foot..." What if I want to start walking with my left foot first?
