"Bewildering? What the hell are you talking about?" Mondo demanded.

"Something was missing from the crime scene that by all rights should have been there. You know what I'm talking about, don't you?" Kyoko asked Makoto.

The brunette thought for a while, then realized. "That's right! There wasn't a single hair on the floor!"

"So...the culprit removed some evidence?" Chihiro asked.

"Yes. And if I were the culprit...Why would I need to get rid of all the hair in my own room? It wouldn't be unusual at all to find my hair at the crime scene, if the crime scene is my room." Makoto asked. It was meant to be a rhetorical question, but I immediately found the flaws in his argument.

"That's not completely accurate. Before the murder we didn't know about the Monokuma file, so it's possible you wanted to make everyone believe it was done in Sayaka's room. You had no clue that Monokuma would tell us the real crime scene. If it was a spur of the moment crime, you could have tried to make it seem like Sayaka was murdered in her own room, which wouldn't put you straight on the suspect list," I argued back.

"Wait! That's not-" I cut the Ultimate Lucky Students off.

"Of course, everything I just said was entirely hypothetical and how no basis behind it whatsoever."

"What are you trying to say here?" Byakuya inquired.

"You accuse Makoto solely for the reason that his room was the scene of the crime. That makes him the first suspect, but certainly not the *only* one. Because if Makoto did it, would Monokuma really have told us that Makoto's room was the crime scene?"

"What?"

"I doubt Monokuma would tell us something that would lead directly to the killer. Someone obviously attempted to conceal the fact that the crime was committed in Makoto's room, and if the suspect in question was the one who did that, we wouldn't have been told the scene of the crime. That's one of the reasons that I can't suspect Makoto. But I digress. Kyoko, Makoto, please continue." I passed the stage over to my sister and the brunette male.

Before either of those to could say anything, Celeste jumped in. "The reason all the hair was gone...was to remove any trace that Sayaka had ever been there." Celeste...did I overestimate you or are you just trying to mess up the trial? Or are you trying to get others to underestimate you? ...When this trial has finished, there are a few people I should definitely keep an eye on. Byakuya, Celeste...Mondo could be the culprit if it's not premeditated...

"No. If that were the case, they would have had to do something about the body itself, not just her hair."

"Ah-ha-ha! Yes, very true, very true!" Hifumi added.

"Okay, then why wasn't there any hair on the ground?" Leon asked.

"The killer got rid of it of course. To remove any trace that *they* had ever been there."

"Wait, then that means...!" Mondo exclaimed.

"Precisely. It's simply beyond reason to assume that the room's owner and the culprit are one and the same."

"Then...Makoto isn't the culprit?" Chihiro asked.

"But are you sure we can decided something so important based solely on the absence of some hair?!" Taka asked.

"No.There are other reasons why Makoto couldn't have done it."

"I would like to hear these reasons..." Sakura said.

"Because Makoto is a boy, and his bathroom door gets stuck," came my cryptic answer.

"Huh?"

"Do you remember anything remarkable about the bathroom at the scene?" Kyoko asked, prepared to clarify my statement.
