*Ding dong, ding dong*

"A body has been discovered! After a certain amount of time, which you may use however you like, the class trial will begin!"

"Huh...? Sakura's...Sakura's....dead? She's...really dead?" Hina's voice was shaking.

I kept staring resolutely forward. Pointless sentiment had no place at a crime scene.

"We didn't make it in time," Kyoko said. "It's happened again..." Muttering to herself, the detective started inspecting Sakura's body.

"Hina, go get the others," I ordered. She nodded weakly and ran off.

"Why...? Why did this have to happen...?" Makoto asked.

"Either Ogami had to die, or Ogami had to kill someone else. Those were the only two ways for this to end. At least if it was the latter we'd have a prime suspect," I said.

"I need to examine Sakura's body..."

Makoto stood motionless behind Kyoko, as my sister investigated the corpse. I looked around and noticed shard of glass around Ogami's chair.

It's tinted red. Judging from the pieces this was a bottle. And... There was also a small figurine, shaped like Monokuma riding a chess piece-a knight, to be specific. Which means this bottle is from the row of bottles on the shelf.

"I got everyone..." Hina said. I stood up and turned around. All the survivors were standing inside the rec room.

"Uwah! O-Ogre?!"

"Oh. So she's dead, huh?" Jill asked.

"Sakura's been killed? I see..." Byakuya mused.

"You heard the announcement just now, right? So you know what this means," Kyoko said to the three new arrivals.

"Sakura was murdered. And by someone in this very room...Is that what you were going to say?"

"...No. Whoever killed her...it's not just 'someone in this room'. It was one of you...Hiro, Byakuya, Toko, Ryousuke-one of you killed Sakura!" Hina declared. Oh. Well, I didn't, but I don't think Hina will believe me if I say that.

Unlike me, the other accused didn't keep their silence. "You're accusing us before even beginning the investigation?" Byakuya asked.

"I don't need to investigate. Because you hated her. You hated the sight of her! One of you did it, I know it!"

"You...know it?" Monokuma asked, suddenly appearing. "Jeez, I didn't know you're power level would increase that much just by getting mad!"

"What are you doing here...?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'm here to hand out my little murder flyer. That's right! It's the next Monokuma file! And don't get so mad, Miss Asahina, or you're going to ruin that rude little face of yours.

"Just give us the file and leave, you monochrome child's toy," I sniped. I was never in the mood for the bear, and I'd *definitely* overused my patience quota for the day.

"Okay! Now then, with that I-"

"Hold on....There's something I want to ask you..." Makoto interrupted.

"Huh?"

"It was you, wasn't it? You killed Sakura?"

"Huh huh?"

"Sakura wanted to challenge the mastermind to a duel. Maybe you and her thought again, and then..."

"No, Monokuma didn't kill Sakura. If he was going to, the mastermind would have killed her for violence against the headmaster. You saw her attacking Monokuma, remember? Instead he ousted her as the traitor in order to convince someone to kill Ogami. Plus, if the mastermind kills someone their isn't a class trial. This was definitely a murder..." I said. Or a suicide, but I doubt that.
