No Exit In Sight

Hi everyone. The image is Ryousuke. That's the expression he has when he's fed up of everyone.

Everyone looked at each other. Their eyes held unimaginable fear and hate. Mine held anger. Anger at Togami for saying something like that, anger at my classmates for listening to him, anger at Monokuma and this stupid killing game. Anger at the world.

"So? What are you going to do now? Just stand around glaring at each other?" Kyoko asked. Her words worked, and the veil of darkness-of despair-faded away.

"R-Right...she's right! Sometimes, even if you're afraid or nervous, you just have to step forward! To forget such a simple fact...I can't forgive myself. I'm so ashamed! Please, someone hit me! I can't forgive myself! Somebody hit me! Punish me!"

"Jesus. If you have time to yell about it, you have time to DO something about it!"

"Perhaps,but...what is the mission exactly?" Hifumi asked.

"Idiot! To look for a way out, duh!"

"And we totally need to find whoever's controlling that stupid bear and beat the hell out of 'em!" Junko yelled.

"Answers. We should look for answers, or at least some clues about our situation," I said.

"Answers? Who the hell cares what's goin' on?! Let's just find a way out already!" Mondo refuted.

"Do you really think there will just be an exit lying around conveniently? Perhaps it will have a nice signpost, 'exit this way'?" I mocked.

"He's right. Information about our situation would be useful," Kyoko agreed.

"...Maybe we should look at the handbook...it's probably best to check out the school regulations Monokuma mentioned before anything else," Chihiro suggested. I already looked briefly, but it would be best to memorize them.

"True. If we stumble around with no clue what the rules are, something like that might happen again..." Celeste added.

"Shit..."

1. Students may reside only within the school. Leaving campus is an unacceptable use of time.

2. 'Nighttime' is from 10pm to 7am. Some areas are off-limits at night, so please exercise caution.

3. Sleeping anywhere other than the dormitories will be seen as sleeping in class and punished accordingly.

4. With minimal restrictions, you are free to explore Hope's Peak Academy at your own discretion.

5. Violence against Headmaster Monokuma is strictly prohibited, as is the destruction of security cameras.

6. Anyone who kills a fellow student will become 'blackened' and will graduate, unless they are discovered.

7. Additional school regulations may be added as necessary.

The second half of rule 6 is concerning, and I feel like we don't know everything about that yet...it will probably be explained after the first murder, so the first killer is at a disadvantage. Other than that, there are some obvious loopholes in these rules that can be exploited. You can still go out at nighttime, it doesn't say which dorm you have to sleep in, and you can destroy anything *other* than the security cameras.

"This is bullshit! What the hell kinda rules are these? I'm not gonna let them control ME!" Mondo roared. Given our situation, these rules are surprisingly unrestrictive, and have several obvious loopholes. I don't have a problem with them.
