Taehyung went home the next morning. He didn't get much sleep but he felt like it was enough to teach Hoseok a lesson. On his way home, he wondered if Hoseok really cared. He wondered if he would be waiting at home restless like had waited, crying all night for his safety. He wondered if he was pulling out his own hair at the thought of Taehyung with someone else. He hoped he did because if Hoseok wasn't, what would that mean for Taehyung?
So when Taehyung was at home, he was expecting to find Hoseok restlessly paving a hole on the floor as he paced back and forth but he wasn't. Taehyung found him laying in bed, sound asleep.
Taehyung felt like crying. He really didn't care. Hoseok didn't care for him.
Taehyung sat on the edge of the bed with a knot in his throat. He wasn't going to cry. He wouldn't allow it. He sat there until the sun rose and Hoseok began stirring in his sleep.
Once he awoke, the first thing he saw was Taehyung's back. "Taehyung, you're home."
His back stiffens. He hated confrontation so much but he was about to do it.
He's going to break up with him.
"I don't think this is my home anymore..." Finally, the tears couldn't help but slip out of his eyes. He didn't want Hoseok to see him cry so he kept his back to him.
"What?" Hoseok was confused, rubbing his drowsy eyes to full awakening.
"I'm done, Hoseok." Taehyung's voice cracks as he buries his face in his hands.
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"It means that I'm taking my shit and I'm out of here." Taehyung stands up. "I'm breaking up with you."
And there it was, the weight that was once weighing his shoulders was now gone; vanished.
Hoseok too stands from the bed quickly, his heart beating loudly in his ears as he reaches forward for Taehyung but misses as Taehyung moved forward to retrieving his things in a suitcase.
"What? No, Taehyungie. Don't do this." Hoseok began to beg, he had never done it but that wasn't going to stop him from doing it now. "Please baby. Don't leave me."
Taehyung ignored him, throwing empty hangers on the floor of the closet as he removed every piece of clothing that belonged to him. "Baby...no."
"Hoseok—stop. Just let me go for once! Let me do what I want to do. I'm tired of following you around like a lost puppy. Like I had no priorities or rules for myself before you. You turned me into this pathetic mess and I don't like it."It's not me. This is not me. I just wanna be me." Taehyung grabs at his hair, tugging at it.
Before Tae had been a person with morals and he loved himself. But recently, the more sucked in he was by Hoseok, the more his morals disappeared and the love he had for himself vanished.
But he was willing to find that love again. The only love that really mattered, he was going to find it no matter how long it took.
Hoseok turns Taehyung around, instantly catching a view of the reddish-purple marks in his neck.
"You actually went through with it..." Hoseok covered his mouth with a shaky hand. Tears began to blur his vision, he knew it was hypocritical of him but they just came out and he didn't know how to stop them.
"What did you think? I was gonna go to Jimin's and spent the night there while I cried my eyes out for you?" Taehyung couldn't face him. He was ashamed and felt dirty for what he did. Despite the fact that Hoseok cheated first, he still felt horrible. So he lowered his head and just listened to the sound of sobs.
