Ms Park had been wrong. In the middle of the way, they got stuck in a huge traffic jam for multiple hours, so when they finally arrived in Seoul, it was almost one in the morning.
As they got out of the bus, Youngjae was tired and his back was aching. Stepping out of the bus, he was hit by the cool air, enjoying the cold on his skin after a day in the warm, stuffy bus.
"Fuck, my ass hurts..." Junhong groaned when he and Daehyun followed Youngjae.
Daehyun laughed. "Looks like someone did something wrong this morning."
"Shut up, Dae. You're just jealous because you never get laid."
Giggling, Daehyun slapped the younger's butt lightly before going to get his bag from the trunk.
"Youngjae, my mom is coming to pick me up. Should we take you home?"
"If that's not a problem, it would be nice..."
"Of course it's no problem. Come, she's waiting in the parking lot."
They said goodbye to Junhong and went to the car waiting near the bus stop.
"Hi mom, we're taking a friend home. He doesn't live far from us."
The woman on the drivers seat smiled at Youngjae through the mirror. "Alright. What's the address?"
Ten minutes later, the car stopped in front of his dorm. "Good night Youngjae, sleep well." Daehyun smiled and leaned over to give the boy a short hug before the latter got out of the vehicle.
"Good night and thanks for taking me home."
He went inside and to his room, where he put down his bags and flopped down onto the bed, letting out a deep breath.
Silence. Nothing but wonderful silence could be heard. The many hours in the full bus had been really hard for him. Too many people, too much noise for a too long time. Youngjae had almost gotten a panic attack, but luckily Daehyun had managed to distract him with making him watch a film on his phone together.
Daehyun... Youngjae was more than surprised how much had changed during this week. He had learned to trust the blonde, he had had fun thanks to the older and he felt comfortable with him. Thinking back to what his cousin had told him, he could not believe Daehyun was the person she had been talking about.
He closed his eyes, thinking about the good time he had with Daehyun during the class trip. He had never thought that he would be able to trust someone like he trusted Daehyun, but it made him smile when he realized that he felt almost fully comfortable around the older.
...
Youngjae had only been asleep for an hour when he woke up, remembering something. Immediately, he got up and into his shoes and jacket before he left the house, hurrying to the bridge. He had not answered the other for a week since last time he had been so shocked by the message he simply had not known what to answer.
He arrived at the spot and nothing had changed. The other's message was still there. Youngjae took his marker and thought for a moment before writing.
