The Berkians had all returned back to Berk, with them all now located at the training ground. All of the civilians were standing outside at the edge, looking down at the centre, where Hilda and Starlight stood.

Hilda had never felt so nervous in her whole life. She felt so stiff that she couldn't move. Her hands were shaking and she kept fidgeting with her fingers and clothes. When she saw her parents waving at her, she could only muster a small wave, with a nervous smile along with it. Everyone was waiting with anticipation for Hiccup to return with the results of Hilda's trials. To find out whether she had pass and to finally confirm her potential place as a Dragon Rider.

Hilda had been longing for this moment for so long, even when she didn't have a dragon. But as the moment got closer and closer, she started to get scared. What if she didn't pass? But she kept her hopes high.

She felt a nudge on her arm, so she turned to see Starlight, looking at her with worried eyes.

She smiled and rubbed her head. "It's OK. I'm sure we got this. Even if we don't, I'm proud of you." Starlight gave a soft growl, now looking less scared. Even Hilda felt a bit better after what she said, but she still felt nervous.

Suddenly, everyone went silent. Hilda could feel her body turning to stone as she saw Hiccup, Astrid and Sterling walking into the training ground. This was it. This was the moment she had been waiting for.

"People of Berk!" Astrid announced. "Today, we have witnessed a display of control, accuracy and above all, trust. All in the hands of a young Viking with such determination." Hilda couldn't help but smile, hearing those words coming from Astrid.

"I know you are all dying to find out the results." The crowd cheered in response.

Astrid chuckled. "Well, we won't keep you waiting anymore." She then turned to Hiccup and gave him a nod. With that notion, Hiccup walked towards Hilda, who was now standing like a statue. Her shoulders were stiff and high and her breaths were quick. Her nervousness were at an all time high, with only Starlight to conform her. Hiccup was now in front of her, with a bit of distance between them.

"Hildegard Ivanston." he began. Hilda slightly cringed at the mention of her full name. "You were able to show tremendous control with your dragon and you demonstrated brilliant accuracy with her plasma blasts. However, there was a moment where you did loss control regarding your final performance." Hilda felt her heart sank at the mention of her mishap.

"Despite that, " he continued. "in the end, as I mentioned before, the Dragon Rider Trials is not about the best performance, it's about trust. And based on that facture, ..." There was a pause. Everyone leaned up against the fence surrounding the training ground. Hilda held her breath, waiting for Hiccup to continue.

Then, a smile came upon his face.

"Welcome aboard, Dragon Rider."

Hilda gave a massive grin, her teeth exposed for everyone to see. She did it. She was now a Dragon Rider. The cheers of Berk erupted through every corner of the island, all of them jumping and fist pumping. Hilda herself was now jumping and cheering, with tears of happiness in her eyes. She then collided with Starlight, giving her a massive hug.

"We did it, girl! We're Dragon Riders!" she cheered, with Starlight giving a loud roar, corresponding with the Viking cheers. After a long time, the cheers finally subsided, but that didn't stop Hilda from smiling.

Hiccup signalled Sterling to come forward. He walked up to Hilda and then presented her with a circular object.

"Well done, lassie." he smiled. Hilda graciously took the gift, revealing it to be a shield with a painting of her and Starlight on it and their names written.
