Chapter 78

I wake up to find myself being wrapped around two big strong arms. Zac is sleeping with me on the couch and it seems that he covered us with a blanket. Butterflies errupt through my body as I try to calm myself down. I get away from him without waking him up and I head into the kitchen to have a glass of water. After that, I notice a plate on the counter and then I realise that he has eaten. I feel quite happy and then I put the plate back into the drawer.

I head back to my room and I take my phone to check the time. It's already 6 30 p.m. I find several text messages and miss called from Zac.

He was worried about me as he kept on asking if all was okay and where was I. I feel kind of guilty but I didn't like the fact that he treated me wrong yesterday. Maybe, we should have a serious conversation about it soon. I take my dinner and again I leave him a note on the fridge.

The next day, I head to school with him, however none of us talked.
We walk towards the main hall and then finally he decides to break the silence by taking my scarf away from me.

"You should let the mark." he smirks.

"Hey! Give me back the scarf, you jerk." I snap at him.

"If you shout again, I won't forget that we are at school to punish you." he whispers into my ears with a devil smirk.

"Give it back!!" I yell but he starts approaching me with an evil smile that I quickly get away from him.

I run to the bathroom where I look at my neck. Obviously, it's so visible, now that he took away my scarf. I tried to hide them while wearing a grey sweater. I even applied foundations to them but now its pointless. Thanks to that bastard, it's more visible!!

I have no choice but to put my hair down as I try to hide these damn marks. After some minutes, I enter my english class and I make my way towards Liam.

"Hello, Liam." I greet as the teacher isn't here yet.

"Morning, beauty." he says as he smiles at me.

"How are you?" I ask.

"I'm fine, where were you yesterday? He went mad looking for you everywhere." Liam says.

"He came looking for me?" I ask and he nods while looking at my neck.

"Hmm, yeah. You need to hide these." Liam simply states and ends the conversation.

"Oh uh... It's not what you think." I say while blushing.

"Hmm." is all he says and the teacher enters the class and starts her class. Zac isn't here though, even though we both share the same class of Mrs Jacob.

Soon the bell rings and I head to the cafeteria where I find Zayn sitting quietly. I grab my lunch and I head towards him.

"Hello, Zayn." I greet.

"Hey." he says as he looks down.

"What's wrong?" I ask worriedly.

"His girlfriend cheated on him." Katerine who is standing behind me, says. She takes a seat next to Zayn as she looks at me carefully.

"Girl, what's wrong with your neck?" she smirks.

"Oh uh.. I got burnt." I lie.

"Oh yeah? Nico what do you think?" she asks and Nico who wasn't here, suddenly takes a seat next to me as he looks at me carefully.

"Hmmm, she broke my heart, lol." Nico says.

"Scarlette, why don't you date Nico?" Katerine suddenly spits as I look at her with shocked.

"Well, why don't you date Zayn?" I fire at her. What the hell is her problem.

"I already fucked him." she laughs as Zayn looks at her with flushed cheeks.

"Wait what?" I exclaim.

"In our group, we are like friends with benefit." She proudly says.

"Uh.." I simply states, as I try to swallow my food.

"So, why don't you guys date?" she asks.

"He's my good friend, I can't do that. Beside I'm already dating someone else." I say and Kat starts laughing.

"Do you mean Zac Stones?" She laughs and I nod.

"Girl, come on. We all know he doesn't do relationship. He's probably playing you too." she says while I look at her trying to control my anger. I don't reply her as I notice her whispering something to Nico who looks at her with shocked eyes.

"Do it." she whispers to him.

"Not now." Nico says and leaves the table. I then receive a message which reads.
