"So, tell me a bit about yourself, young gentleman." my dad says while drinking his coffee that I made.

"Well , there's nothing much to say about me. I'm going to be 19 soon and I go to the same school as your daughter." Zac says as he sits next to me. Oh yes! His birthday is coming.

"Oh nice. So you are my daughter's roomate huh?" he says and Zac starts to cough. I look at them nervously.

"Actually, I offered him to stay here because of some issues." I quickly add.

"Yeah, I can see that." dad says. I can't even figure out if he is angry or not. His facial expression is completely normal. "However, I don't approve of this." Dad says and I look at him in shocked.

"You didn't even tell me, Scarlette. You cannot just stay with some boys!" dad says in a very unfamiliar tone

"I'm really very sorry, Sir. I have been staying here without your consent. Scarlette was just worried for me. It's not her fault, it's mine. If you do not like it, I will make sure to leave right away, sir." Zac says straightly as my dad looks at him with the same seriousness.

"Yes, do the needful." Dad says and I look at Zac standing up to go. What is going on??

"But- dad-!" I say but quickly get interrupted as Zac says,

"It's okay, Scarlette. In fact I'm very indebted towards you for letting me stay here but really I can totally understand your father's concern. Again, I'm very sorry Mr Grey and I hope to win your heart soon as I'm very serious about your daughter." he says and leaves the room.

"Dad!! Why are you telling him to leave??" I say angrily as I start standing up to go after my boyfriend. I run to his room in panick.

Once, I'm in his room, I see him packing his clothes. Panick again, takes over me.

"Zac! Please don't go. I'll try to persuade my father but please don't leave me." I say as I quickly wrap my hands around him.

He hugs me back but he says,

"Hey.. I'm never leaving you." Zac says as he pats my head.

"Then don't go." I say as I tightened the hug.

"Scarlette, I promise to win your father's heart before I come here again. But let's respect his decision. He is worried for you and also, I couldn't stay here permanently, could I ?" Zac says as he plants a kiss on my forehead.

He releases from my hug and closes his bag, ready to go.

"Zac, please.." I start tensing up more than I'm already.

"So, have you packed everything?" My father's deep voice ecoes the room.

"Yes, Sir. It was a pleasure meeting you." Zac says as he smiles lightly.

"Dad!!!" I yell.

"Before you go, let's go have a coffee together." My father says and Zac nods at him.

"I'll come too." I say.

"No. It's okay, Scarl." Zac says with a reassuring face.

"But-" I say

"We will be back soon." My father smiles at me, however I'm very angry and disappointed.

"Okay, whatever!" I say as I quickly go into my room and I slam the door.

One long eternity hour later, they finally come back and I run to the living room.

"Dad, please-" I wince but he interrupts me,

"I have to go Zac, but I hope you will take good care of my daughter. I assume she is already very fond of you. I'm sorry for asking you to pack up earlier but I needed to know if you were worthy of her and it seems like you are right for her indeed." dad says and I immediately soften as Zac looks at him with surprised but it is quickly replaced with a smile.

"Thank you, Sir." Zac says.

"Call me, Christian." dad says as he smiles.

"Thank you, dad." I hug him again and he shuffles my hair.

"I'll get going, Margarette is here too." Dad says as he gets out of the hug.

"Really?" I ask as my eyes start glowing.

"Yes, a lot of people have come actually for the event. I bet your mother and Steve too will be there." Dad says and I start clenching my jaw at the mention of my step-father.

"Okay, send my regards to Margarette." I say and he nods, before finally leaving.
