Chapter 97

"Are you sure, you can go to school?" Zac asks and I nod.

"Yes, my headache is gone and I have yet to attend these detention classes." I say, annoyingly.

"I'm gonna be so lonely without you then." he says in a babylike voice and I chuckle.

"Let's go." I say and he nods while we head outside.

"Bye, Alpha. Be a good boy." He says to the dog as we both hop on the bike.

Soon, we reach school and we both separate to go to our different classes.

"I need to go meet the coach. See you later, babe." he says as he kisses me.

"Okay, bye bae." I say and he smiles happily at me.

I enter my class and I notice Liam, sitting at the complete back. I walk towards him where I nervously take a seat next to him.

"Hi, Liam." I say, playing nervously with my pencil.

"Hey." he says, looking away.

"How are you..?" I ask sadly and he looks at me with a frown.

"I'm not okay." he finally says.

"Please, don't be angry at me. I don't want to lose you as a friend." I say honestly and he lets out a heavy sigh.

"I'm sorry.." he says. "I was very furious, that's why I let my anger take over you." I can see that he really regrets..

"Hey, it's okay.. I completely understand..Are we okay now?" I ask and he nods.

"Okay, thank you." I say, relief and he smiles lightly at me.

"I'm sorry.. I don't know why I behaved like this. It's probably because I see my sister in you and she also was as stubborn as you. She would always take Zac's side like you did last time. So, that's why I kind of bursted it out." he says and I try to comfort him while rubbing his back.

"Hey, it's okay.." I say, thinking about Tina. Was she really in love with Zac? I ask myself.

"How was their relation?" I let out without me even realising. Liam looks at me puzzled and then after sometimes, he finally talks.

"Tina was really in love with him. She would always brag about how she liked him and how she was lucky to have him." Liam says and I sarcastically whisper to myself about how stupid she was to cheat him then.

"Did you say something?" Liam asks, looking at me curiously.

"Oh no-no. Nothing." I put my hands in the air in defence.

"Oh okay." Liam says. "Anyways, their relation was quite okay to be honest. They were very happy together but I don't know how they managed to fight that day." he says.

"The day she died..., you mean?" I ask, nervously.

"No, some days before the match. Tina was shouting on the phone accusing Zac of being unloyal." Liam says and I look at him nervously. What the hell? Zac said that she was the one who cheated.

"Then, what happened?" I ask, feeling like a lost person.

"Then, I think they were still fighting but even then, she went to his match. And I sincerely wish that she would have never gone!" he says through gritted teeth as he clenches his fist.

"Hey.. it's okay, Liam.. It's okay.." I say while hugging him as I try to comfort my friend. Was Zac lying to me again? What is wrong with him? Is Liam talking the truth or is he mistaken? I need to talk with Zac about this.

"I miss her so much.." Liam says. I understand him. It's normal, I would have reacted the same way if I lost someone I loved too..

"I'm here for you, you can consider me as your sister, Liam." I smile at him.

"That is why I don't want you with him." he says and I look at him, with wide eyes as I frown..

"Liam..." I try to talk but i'm interrupted.

"Scarl, I know I'm acting like an A-hole but everytime I see you I feel pain inside of me, recalling my sister and the fact you also, are dating him, burns me terribly.. Please try to understand." he says..

"Yes, I understand but I promise i'm okay with him. He means so much to me." I say and Liam looks at me with a frown.

"Okay.. Anyway, what's up for the week-end?" Liam asks.

"Oh, I'm accompanying my dad to an event, what about you?" I ask.

"What? Which event?" he asks.

"Organization Milestones." I say and he looks at me with wide eyes.

"Really? Me too." he says.

"Oh really? The one on sunday?" I ask and he nods his head.

"I was actually going to ask you to come, since my parents insisted but seems like you also are going." he smiles. "Did you talk to your mother by the way?" he asks and I shake my head.

"No..I didn't.."

"You should soon.." he says and I nod.

"Good-morning class." The teacher says as students starts coming in the classroom.

After the class, I quickly went for my next class as I had a test and then I went to have my lunch with a girl in my history class, Izzy who seemed very friendly and we kind of talked a lot. I didn't get to meet Zac at all today. The day just passed by like this and soon it was time to go to the detention classes. Stupid detentions I tell you!
