Xavier's eyes twitched with frustration as he continued to listen to the person on the other end of the phone call.

"I need you to hurry it up Xavier. You get it. Don't you?!" Xavier's puts the phone away from his ears to prevent the screaming from damaging his ear drums.

"You have to! If Lana or Andrea, whatever that bitches name is, doesn't get involved soon. You know who's gotta pay. So up your game. He is getting impatient. And things will turn nasty if he gets angry! You know that better than anyone. Right?"

There was a pause.

"Say something you idiot!? I am trying to save your ass here. You get that? It's a big risk consid--"

Xavier sighed.

"Okay. Okay. I will do something. Soon." And he cut off the call.
He could sense the uneased tension in his taught shoulders and muscles.

Xavier shuts his eyes, letting the silence of the room soothe him. And then he opened them again only to look at the file laying on the desktop.

He knew he had to hurry this up. Not for himself but for everyone. For everyone's sake, he had to do as told. Of course he did. But something was happening to him. Something he couldn't mention to anyone else unless and until he figures out what it exactly is himself.

He lets this thought linger in his head. He was changing in some weird kind of way. In a way he was scared to be changed in. But yet, he didn't know what exactly it was.

He started again, to work. Sorting out the papers of the file. Laying out the plans and the business deals and everything else. He was just about done when there was a knock on the door and the door creaked open only slightly.

"May I come in?" A soft voice whispered. Xavier closed the file urgently and took up all the papers and dumped them in the drawers. He stood up from the chair and started towards the door.

"Oh. That won't be necessary. You see, I was already moving out." He said and walked out of his office.

His mind flickered back to the thought about the thing that was bothering him, as his eyes met the hazel ones. And those eyes astonished him once again.

While his eyes, on their own accord, trailed down and back up. Again, trying to memorize every inch of this girl that he was seeing.

Her brown hair fell around her shoulders with a simple decency, while her small form supported a blue sundress with a black cardigan. His eyes came back up to hers to see them looking at him intently.

He reminded himself that this was not the reason behind his heart picking up the speed. Or the reason behind his failed attempts at being able to breathe properly.

'Completely sibling-related feelings Xav.' He said to himself.

He smiled. She smiled back. And Xavier's heart swelled with an unknown emotion.

"Hey Xav. I was wondering if you wanted to watch a movie. You know have some family time together." She asked.

But hurriedly added, "Not that I am forcing you to. I am not sure I was the 'forcing-type' before. But that's not the point. I understand if you want to work. You know, I am completely okay with that but still I was wondering if you could take out someti--"

"Yeah. Yeah I will. Come on, Maia. I don't think you know the way to the in-house theatre." He smiled at her started moving.

'Family time.'
