Xavier shuffled from feet to feet. He was having a nervous tick.

For the very first time in his life, Xavier Black was nervous.

He kept running his hands through his hair, making then look even messier than usual. His hands wouldn't stop doing it. Then he took a deep breath and looked at his reflection in the mirror.

"It's just a date with her. Be calm and rock it." He said to himself. Now shrugging on the suit jacket, he moved out of his room.

It had been very difficult to convince Maia into coming for a date with him, especially considering that she still thought that Xavier was her brother.

He mentally made a note to himself to tell her the things that he was hiding soon. He just wished that she would understand, which he wasn't sure she would.

Xavier reached Maia's door and knocked softly. Three times.

Inside, Maia was still running around, putting on her heels and combing her hair. She was late because she had wasted too much of her time inside the shower thinking about the extent of wrongness of this situation. She thought about it yet again.

'A date with your brother.' She said to herself. This was so wrong. They were so wrong. But anyway, putting away her things, she went to open the door.

Xavier couldn't contain his surprise. He was beyond mesmerized.

She was an angel in disguise and he, a devil.

How were they going to work?

Disregarding that thought, he looked at Maia's petite form. The black dress hugged her body in all the right places and covered just enough.

He knew why Maia chose this dress out of all the others. This was the only dress which could possibly hide all the marks of cuts on her body.

She was wearing black heels and her hair cascaded down her shoulder.

Xavier noticed that her eyes were searching him too. Giving him a onceover.

He smirked.

"Like what you see?" He asked smirking and was happy to see the light tinge of blush on Maia's cheeks.

"You cleaned up pretty well too." Maia said. Xavier pulled her closer.

"You look absolutely beautiful." He gave her a small peck and they started moving down the corridors, Xavier tugging her out of the house.

Xavier had agreed on taking Maia out. He wanted her to believe him and by taking her out, he was giving her a sense of freedom. Freedom that he could provide.

But the complete truth had to wait. He would tell her soon.

Maia was dazed. All the way to the restaurant, Maia could only think about how hot Xavier looked in the suit. His strong built supported by a black suit and white shirt. With his hair in a mess and his eyes crinkling everytime he smiled at her. Maia could see that this was beyond them now.

How much ever wrong the situation is, they were in it. For better or for worse.

They reached the diner. Before Maia could reach out and open the door, Xavier moved out and opened it for her.

She smiled as she got out.

"Didn't take you to be a gentleman Xavier." She said. His eyes lightened up.

"There is a alot left for you to know about me Maia." He said and led her inside.

The diner was small but homely and warm. They settled themselves in the booth at the far end. Maia looked around vividly.
