DARIA LYNN'S P.O.V
Ten Years Later

Daria you have to calm the fuck down!" Rachel screamed at me as I tried to take in deep breaths.

"How the fuck am I supposed to do that?" I screamed back getting more and more flustered by the second.

"See, it's going to be just fine. Just focus on him. Only him alright?" She said, heaving a sigh of relief as I nodded my head. "Okay. Now, how do I look?" She asked, twirling around to give me a proper look of her attire.

The light pink and lace gown suited her beautifully. The neckline dipped slightly lower than what I would have wanted but it looked gorgeous on her. The slit was on the right side of the dress, giving a scandalous view of her toned legs but Rachel carried it well. Her long brown hair was pulled into a light bun with strands already coming loose due to her over exaggerated movements. Perfect makeup adorned her face as she looked at me for approval.

I smiled at her. "Beautiful Rach." I said.

She smirked at me. "Well, the bridesmaid is supposed to look good. Not as beautiful as you though."

I smiled and looked at myself in the mirror in front of me.

The gown that flowed down my body was white with blue-green rising up end edge. I had specially sat down with the designer for hours on end to figure this out. The blue and green at the hem of the gown rose to my knee, giving a sea-like texture. To me, they were like waves rising up to reach the white sky. The heart-shaped neckline dipped down slightly but looked modest on my light skin. The cold was creeping up to me due to the lack of cloth down my bare arms and shoulders. The slit of the gown on the left side left less for imagination. The flowing end of the gown extended an appreciative length at the back, making it imperative for me to be careful when I walk. The veil was long enough to touch the ground, with a beautiful tiara look in front. My dark brown hair was pulled up in a loose chignon bun, giving me a look of elegance and charm. The makeup was light but the stark red lipstick gave me a sense of confidence.

I felt satisfied with what my mother and Rachel had done. Truthfully, I was more than satisfied.

"I don't know Rach. I just feel so nervous. What if something goes wrong? What if I trip while walking down that long ass aisle? What if I stammer while saying the vows? What if I drop the ring while-"

"You are not going to do any of that! Get me? It's your day and you are going to fucking rock it. You are going to walk down that freaking aisle and get your man. You walk out of this church as Mrs. Archer. Wife of Mr. Kevin Archer. Alright?" She placated me.

The change of Kevin's surname reminded me of our past, the one that we have left behind. He had been Kevin Davis once but circumstances call for difficult actions.

I shook my head, clearing the thoughts of our shady past.

"Alright." I said, still not really sure about this.

Just then there was knock on the wooden door and Mom's head peaked in. "You ready?" She asked as she entered the room and shut the door behind.

"I am going to be right outside if you need anything." Rachel said and walked out.

"I don't know if I am ready Mom." I said truthfully.

Mom looked at me with eyes filled with love and adoration. "God! You have grown up Lemon." She whispered and put her hand gently on my cheek. "You know you don't have to do this if you are not ready." She said.

I looked at closely. "No Mom. I want to do this. This is the one thing that I am sure about. But I just feel so...."

"Nervous? Jittery? Yeah. It's alright. It's your big day. You are bound to feel that way." She said. Pulling me in for a tight hug she whispered, "Your Dad would have been so happy." I could hear the strain in her voice. I pulled back and saw the tears that were threatening to fall but she held them back.

"I know Mom. I know." I said and smiled at her. To this she hastily wiped away her tears and smiled at me.

"Alright then. You are gonna go out there and everyone's gonna drop dead looking at you." She said. "Just remember. Focus on him. Only him."

I was about to tell her how much I loved her and just how brave she was but just then the door opened and Rachel came rushing in.

"Okay. It's time. Come on!"

With that said, I moved out of the room and stood outside the door. Damien, my sister's boyfriend, came up beside me to walk me down the aisle and I smiled at him as the music began and everyone stood up. "You look beautiful." He whispered, to  which I smiled and turned my gaze forward to finally walk down the aisle.

And my eyes finally met his.

Kevin shirtless was something. Kevin in boxers was something. Kevin with a towel wrapped around his waist was something.

But Kevin in a tuxedo was something from another universe.

The stark black of his tux brought out his grey eyes. His normally tousled hair was styled back to accentuate his high cheekbones and sharp jawline. The white button down shirt that he wore inside the blazer was pulled taut as his muscles pressed against it. And the soft smile that played on his soft full lips was all that I needed to start walking a bit faster.

We didn't break eye contact throughout the excruciatingly long walk down the aisle.

"You are drooling." Damien said as we were about to reach the stage.

I glared at him from the corner of my eyes and nudged him with my elbow. "Idiot."

We stood in front of Kevin now but before Damien handed me over to him, he leaned down and gently kissed my head. "Lana would be so happy." He whispered, reminding me of yet another person who was taken away from me by fate.

I closed my eyes for a brief second, remembering her.

I wish you were here. I whispered to myself. And opened my eyes again.

Damien looked at Kevin then and straightened his back. "Keep her happy." He demanded. Kevin looked at me at this and said, "Will do. In more ways than one Damien." He winked, making me blush profusely. Damien chuckled and moved away.

Kevin gently look my hand and we stood facing each other on the church stage as the priest told us to take our vows and the rings were exchanged.

"Do you Kevin Archer, take Daria Lynn as your wife?"

He smiled. "I do."

"Do you Daria Lynn, take Kevin Archer as your husband?"

I smiled. "I do."

"I now pronounce you Man and Wife." He paused. "You may now kiss the bride."

Kevin smirked wildly. "Gladly." And with that said, he dipped down his head to claim my lips with his.

THE END.
