"Lana?"

"Hmm?"

"It's third today."

"Hmm."

"It's third of August today."

"Hmm."

"It's Maia's Birthday." Damien says. I gently lift up my head from his chest and look at him.

"I know." I say.

"You didn't wish her." He states.

I sigh and sit up. Watching me Damien does the same. And his arm comes to gently rest around my shoulder, pulling me closer. We are still on the cliff, dressed up with our legs dangling down.

"I know I didn't." I state, looking down at the water fifteen feet below. After the first jump, I had begged to do it again and again till Damien had to stop and say that it was enough.

Then there had been pizza and waffles for lunch. And after cuddling up next to Damien and eating away pizza and waffles, I had realised that I found my new addiction.

I was brought out of my train of thoughts when Damien asked, "Sunshine, can you tell me what's going on?"

I sigh. "I have a flight to New York at eleven o'clock in the evening which I am not going to board."

He looks at me quizzically.

I huff. "I had planned a seven days trip to New York for Maia and I. And I had been in a hurry to get out of the mansion before Maia could see me today morning because I wanted to surprise her with the trip and the gifts right in the evening." I smile at him sadly. "But I guess that's not happening anymore." I said.

Damien leans down to kiss me softly. I embrace the warmth that spreads through me. When he pulls away, he leans his forehead against mine and whispers, "How do I get to have someone as good as you in my life?"

I chuckle. "Well. Only some people are allowed to have this doze of awesomeness that's me." I say arrogantly. And he lets out a booming laugh that echoes.

He leans towards me and looks me in the eyes. "I love you." He says. And I smirk.

"You do? Then scream it to the world Montez." I challenge him.

If anything, he leans closer, holding my face in his hands and whispers to me, "You are my world." I lean into his touch and kiss him.

I look up and realise that it's growing really dark.

"Damien, I would love to stay here forever but we need to head back home." I say. "It's getting dark."

Damien looks up and for the first time realises that the sky is nearly black now.

"Yeah. We should head back." He gets up and holds out a hand for me  to take.

I take his hand and stand up and brush away the dust that has come to rest on the dress. I shiver slightly from the cold. From the corner of my eye I watch Damien chuckle and make a move to remove his jacket. But I give him a glare stopping him mid motion.

"If you even so much as to offer me that fucking jacket I will kill you." I say.

He looks at me weirdly. "Why? Do you not like this jacket? I thought you liked-"

"No dumbass! But that would be one of the most cliched move that you make. Therefore, don't!" I hiss.

"Well alright then." He smirks and pulls me flush against his side as we move to his car. I smile to myself at his need to always have me close to him.

We move inside the car and shut our doors. And the ride back begins. Damien switches back on the music player but this time both of us remain silent as we absorb the goodness of the day.

An uneasy feeling builds up in my chest along with a slow pain but I ignore it. I have been taking my medicines regularly and the doctors even said that it's better than before.

"You should have done this earlier if you wanted to survive Lana. Taking medicines regularly now doesn't make up for not taking them properly before. The six months that I promised you, is all that you have." The doctors' voice rings in my ear but I ignore the dreading feeling in my chest.

It doesn't take us that long to reach the mansion. As compared to the journey to cliff the ride back was short.

We enter the huge iron gates and Damien stops his car in front of the main door to the mansion. Both of us get out of the car and Damien hands the key over to the gang driver for him to park the car.

I turn to look at Damien, both of us not making a move to enter the mansion. We stand there in silence, simply gazing at each other. A clawing feeling captures my heart and to ease it down I move closer to Damien, till there is no space between us.

"It was an amazing date Dai." I whisper. I feel out of breath but ignore it, blaming it on our close proximity.

"I told you, you'll like it." He said, bringing up his hand to put a strand of my hair behind my ear.

"I loved it." I said. I tried to smile. My chest was feeling heavy and I felt as if I couldn't breathe but I didn't want to spoil the moment.

"I knew you would." He said simply.

I looked up at him. Panic was rising inside me, but I tried to calm my emotions. I can't spoil this. Not for him.

"Dai." I took a breath, or at least I tried. "I love you." And I closed the little distance there was between our lips.

I kissed him with all that I have and tried to calm my racing heart. My vision was blacking out slowly. But I didn't let it affect the way I kissed him. I pulled away, smiling. The uneasy feeling in my chest was increasing.

I watched him smile back at me. Those pearl white teeth between those perfect crescents of his lips.

"I love you too." He whispered.

And I had everything I had wanted.

So I finally let the clawing feeling in my chest take over.

And suddenly I was bent over. Coughing out blood. And blood. And even more blood. And the last thing I remember was the look of panic on his face as he held me.

"I love-"

And I couldn't finish.
