"What, really? So you really found her, son I hope you are not lying to me"  

" What, No! "I retorted I can assure you, she is as real as you and me, and unlike anything that you have ever seen"  

"My, my, my... Oh i cannot wait to see her, how soon can you deliver her to me?"  

"Father, she possesses all of our strengths and luring her to you will not be easy. brute force clearly will not work on her, as I refuse to let anyone even you harm her."  

"So... son, what do you suggest we do?" my father asked. I pondered upon that question for a moment, then answered  

"Let me woo and entice her, I will make her fall in love with me and when she lets down her guard, we will strike sire, just promise me, you won't kill her." I responded.

"Yes, my dear boy,you have my word as King, she will not die, and by the way, what a marvelous plan, hmm.. like father like son, cold hearted ,ruthless and evil to the core, i love your plan, but ....---- one minor detail" he stopped half way through to say "whatever you do, do it quickly, she may be the key to us walking in sunlight once again and you of all should know i have no tolerance for patience."

Maya p.o.v

Damn, not again, I murmured as I opened my eyes to utter darkness, and i pondered to my self, why did I have to fall for that stupid mind trick thing? and jeez, I wonder how long I was asleep for this time. Tristan was nowhere to be found, so I got off the bed and darted towards the door, I was downstairs in about two seconds because i also possessed inhuman speed and agility just like vampires did. What I did not count on was Tristan standing in front of the door with a huge smile on his face.

"Going somewhere darling" he chuckled.  

"Yes" I said, as i attempted to make a leap through the window.  

"No! I heard him called from inside.  

"What the hell?" I shouted, as electrical pulses surged through my body. 

"I'm so sorry sweetie, I had to take extra precautions Maya, because when you told me what you are, I could not risk anybody else finding out, they won't be as calm and caring and as generous as me Maya, they will want you for one thing and that is your blood and to use you as a lab rat."  

"And what, you don't?"....I said feeling woozy. "What the hell is this, what are you doing to me?" I asked weakly

"What you are experiencing is the effects of thousands of electro magnetic waves surging through your body. It wouldn't kill you obviously, but it will definitely slow you down" he sneered.  

"What? You monster, you cannot hold me here against my will, first you play mind tricks now this! I will not stand for it."  

"If you do not want to stand dear heart, you can always sit" he was attempting to crack a joke. " Listen I know my approach is wrong but I will assure you on my word as a gentleman, I mean you no harm I just want you safe."

"Safe!", I scoffed you want to use me up just like your friends will do once you sell me out to them.  

"Maya, I liked you, from ever since you walked into the club that night, there was something about you, and I promise you I won't let harm befall you."
