He obviously had some rank as a vampire maybe prince or Lordship, and I was going to use this encounter to my advantage. "Uh.. So why did you send your lap dog across to do your bidding? it would have been much easier if you had came over and spoke to me yourself" I asked, my tone clearly filled with annoyance. He smiled and simply responded "I'm shy around beautiful ladies" Ha, of all the lame pick up lines from a vampire, this surely had to be the lamest.

'"Ha ha" I laughed, "that has got to be the most retarded pick up line ever"

"Oh am I to understand that you find me amusing?"

"Well, if the shoe fits, wear it."

"If you knew what I was really like i can assure you love, you wouldn't be laughing" he said with his face all rigid and stone like. I already knew who he was, or should I say what he was and I could tell that he was irked when i laughed at him. Typical Vampire. I thought to myself.

"Well is this how you pick up a girl? first you send some buffoon to kidnap me, then you talk to me without even the slightest mention of your name and last but not least, you haven't even offered me a drink, I'm sorry to break it to you, but you are a cheap lousy date." I fumed.

"Feisty, I like that in a woman, it makes our encounter more pleasurable, but I'm sorry, I must have forgotten my manners, my name is Tristan and would you care for a drink?

"Why sure, seeing that I had to literally twist your arm for you to offer me something, I'll have a bloody Mary"

" Ha, ha you're funny" he replied " you really have no idea how fortunate you are that I took a particular liking to you, because nobody and I mean nobody speaks to me like that."

"Okay, you need to chill out Tristan, gosh, who died and made you king of anything? So relax, you don't scare me honey, I've encountered worse than you"

"Hmm.." is all he merely said.

"Daniel, I heard him call over his shoulder and a skinny guy with acne scars and oily skin appeared, clearly not a vampire, he looked no more than eighteen or nineteen years old. "Can you please bring the lady a bloody Mary, seeing that she is so parched." I then laughed to myself, the vampire had jokes.

When Daniel returned with my drink, he handed Tristan a note and left. Tristan then opened it and read it and exclaimed," I'm so sorry Nicole, but I'm afraid that I have to cut our date short, there are urgent pressing matters I must attend to, Vlad will walk you to your car." What! this was not going according to plan, how was I going to get information now? and I really hated the idea of Vlad walking me to my car, seeing how much disdain I had for him, but I had to play along in order to get closer to Tristan, I had to find out more about him, he could be my only link for revenge on the vamp that made me what I am today.

" Okay but we have to meet again"

"I will find you Nicole, finding people is one of my specialties."
