Wow she's real I thought to myself, father will be much pleased when I tell him that I actually found the 'day walker' he's been searching for all these years, Maybe I can use her blood to my advantage, experiment with it and see if it finds a cure for us vampires, maybe it will help us walk the sunlight. Oh how I longed to feel the sun rays on my skin again. It's such a pity she has to die because she is really quite beautiful.. Then my thoughts were disrupted by the ringing of my cell phone.  

"Shh Maya... go to sleep now, time to rest." I told her as she drooped away in my arms. I gently placed her on the bed and proceeded to answer my phone.  

"Hello" I said as i flipped the phone open and greeted the stranger on the other end.  

"Hello," the voice in the phone responded and I made it out to be my father, he was the king of all Vampires. 

"Yes father, what do you want?" I said irked, my father had a tendency to be well, overly dramatic at times, plus he interrupted my little moment with Maya.  

"I heard that Vlad was killed, torn into pieces actually," he said agitated "this thing whoever or whatever it is that is hunting us, must be stopped. it shall be hunted down and killed," he said rage coloring his voice more blatant now."Anyway the reason behind my call was to ensure that you were okay, I was concerned about you, you are my only son after all and heir to the throne, I just wanted to make sure no harm befell you."  

'Yes, father I am okay. It was I who killed Vlad I said remorseless.  

"You did what!" he shouted highly enraged, there goes the dramatic thing again.  

Sighs... "Father, he tried to kill someone, someone who I took a particular fancy to, and well, I got a tad bit upset."

"A tad bit upset" he replied. "That was not a tad bit upset Tris, that was borderline psychotic son" he shouted  

"Father, hear me out,"I said as I tried to reason with him.  

"He tried to kill a girl last night, one I liked as you know,"  

"So what Tristan you like many girls," What was so special about this one"  

"She intrigued me" I said with a soft smile on my face" Anyway, it was a lucky thing I saved her"  

"And why is that?" my father said obviously peeved.  

"I found it.. uh.. um.. the creature.. well uh...  

"Come son gather your thoughts you sound like a blundering idiot" my father spat out  

"I found her father, I found the day walker, you have been looking for."
