"Dream! Daniel's here!" My mom shouted from downstairs as I quickly put cheek and lip tint and sloppily stroke mascara on. I don't wear pounds of make-up because I don't know how to work with them and I don't like them because they're heavy. I put my glasses on, grabbed my bag and raced downstairs.
"Hey, grab a sandwich before you go." Mom said as I obliged. I kissed her and bid her goodbye.
"Behave at school." Mom shouted as I walk through the living room.
"Mom it's my junior year. I'm not 6 years old." I shouted back.
"Well you act like it." My mom said while laughing.
"Yeah, yeah love you mom." I said as I join her laughter. I emerged out of the house where I see Dani outside his car grinning like a dork. Well, we're both grinning like a dork.
"Well someone's in a good mood." Dani teased and open the car for me. This is why he's my best friend, we may banter but he's still the sweetest guy I know.
"Well I'm really excited to go back to school, I can't wait to meet the people too." I said in all fake enthusiasm.
"I can't feel the sarcasm Dream." He said as we laughed our asses off. We continued the ride with rants about how hell and school are alike and we finally reached hell, school rather.
"Oh, we only have 2 classes together." Daniel sadly said.
"Yay!"
He looked at me hurt but he know I don't mean it so I laughed and comforted him. "That's ok for you because I don't have any friends unlike you."
"Aww, now's the year then. To bloom and come out of your comfort zone." He said like he's selling a brand of soap.
"Hell naw!" I said as we laugh, well that's all we do. Laugh our asses off because of our nonsense.
Time flew by and now I'm on 3rd period and probably I am way too early to be in this room because I'm the only person here except that weird guy in the corner. Well, we're both weird attending the class this early.
People merges in the room last minute before the class starts and I saw a familiar face. Zachary Dean Herron is at my class. Usually when Zach is in my class, Daniel's too so I don't get so awkward around him.
He caught my eye and smiled at me then looked at the seat beside me whuch is empty. Wait, is he sitting beside me? He went over the seat and seated himself. Zach is now my seatmate. Dream, he left you on your own at the party remember? Well, he has a good reason because I'm boring.
"Hey, where did you go after the party? You were gone." He asked and we should probably not talk right now because the teacher is talking, but he's Zach and he can get away with it.
"I didn't feel well and called Daniel to pick me up and I got home." I explained while he was thinking deeply and looking at me.
"Mr. Herron and Ms. McBroom, care to share?" Our teacher said raising her eyebrow at us. I can't believe that I am the center of attention right now and being it with Zach is a chaos in disguise. Zach can get away with it easily and being seen with him in front of his rabid admirers isn't good. "Since you already knew what I was going to teach that's why you don't care, I'd like both of you to meet me after school and get some text books and discuss our lesson on our next meeting."
Shit. Hell. Started.
"She's just using us to discuss it for her." He huffed and I fakely laughed because this might seem funny to everyone but I got a lot of things to do. I have to work with mom at her cafe, and even though it's just the 3rd period, I got a lot of shits ready to do.
"Don't worry, I'll help you with it." Zach said interrupting my overthinking and he might have noticed my worried face. "Let's get it done by today. Set the place and I'll text you."
"You don't have my-"
"I'll get it, I have my ways." He answered while he is being dragged outside by his friend.
Well can this day get any better? It doesn't because at the end of the day, I have tons of things to do and now I'm on out of school.
*ding*
I told you, I'd get it.
Where to?
