12 - with a heart

I finished my shift because at 8, the cafe isn't really that packed. I changed into my outfit were I prepared and got from home before I came here. At exactly eight, Zach enetered the cafe and escorted me outside.

"Hey, you looked really good. Damn." He said completely lost at words where I can't understand because I'm not that good looking and receiving complements are just new to me.

"Thanks, you too." I said shyly tucking my hair behind.

We come to a halt, so I suppose that this is his car. Like how?! This car is gorgeous and I shouldn't be surprised because of how gorgeous his house was, he should have a car like this. He opened the door for me and I entered his car soon to be enveloped with his scent. I kinada don't like the strong sting in my nose but this is his and I like it.

"Where are we going?" I asked as soon as we hit the road.

"You know I have this little surprise for you and of course it's a surprise, you can't know about it." He said and my face is evidently worried because I don't like surprises and it being uncertain. "Chill ok? I promise you you'll like it."

We entered a familiar street but this seems like we entered from the other side of the street. We pulled from his druveway and he got out of the car. What are we doing here at his house? Is he planning to murder me?

"Are you planning to murder because it's a poor choice that you'll kill me here, the evidence would clearly lead to you." I said and he laughed. Way to impress a guy with your weirdness Dream.

"Probably." He said as I joined his laughter. Our noises died down as we entered his house. Where the heck are his parents, letting their home in the hands of a teen. We walked through the kitchen where you can see the view of outside. The backyard is filled with lights and in the middle of it is a table for two. "I kinda needed help and asked Daniel what could be the perfect date for you." He said as he scrathed the back of his head which I notice that he does it when he's nervous.

As much as I like the effort, I'm not really a sucker for these kind of dates. A simple drive to McDonald's and snacking at the hood of the car while stargazing is my kind of perfect date and Daniel of all people will know that. So he tried to jeopardize Zach in my perspective. Why though?

We seated and ate some fancy foods that I really don't fancy. We eat in silence because I'm not really that talkative in front of other people and as much as I like Zach, I really feel awkward around him and I still can't believe that this is our second date. I really didn't expect that I would date Zach. He's the first one to notice me and the first one who cared and even though I really like him, I still have this feeling that things should really go slow at first. It was just a crush when he didn't even noticed me but I'm Dream, I can get easily attached to a person especially when they care.

"I know it's early to ask this but," Zach started waking me from my trance. "Can you be my girlfriend?"

I really don't know how to react, I've told you that I really want to move slow but I don't want to turn him down.

"Uhm, Zach I know that I'm not the kind of girl to be waited on but I think we should really take things slow. You barely know me and I barely know you. I like you, I really do but things are moving too fast." I explained and I didn't expect that I would come up with that without stuttering. He looked defeated and hurt. I can't blame him though, it must be a first for him to be turned down.

"It's ok, I know I'm moving too fast but I'll show you that you're worth the wait and I'm worth the risk." He said and smiled while holding my hands.
