Chapter Eighty Six

Amber's POV

I was now on my bed rereading Luke's letter for what feels like the hundredth time. I just don't understand his motives. He tells me he loves me. Then he cheats on me. Then he says he's sorry. Then he does it again. And tells me he loves me? What is wrong with boys and their lack of understanding that I am not a toy?

I sigh as I get up from my bed setting the letter and the book down on my matress. I go over to my phone which was still charging on the far side of the bed.

I sigh as I turn on my TV and look for the Two and A Half Men reruns. Luke and I used to watch this show all the time. Even when Charlie was on the show. Boys are complicated. They say they love you and they dump you.

I watch my phone vibrate and light up. Rolling my eyes I stand up and grab my phone from the charger picking up.

"Hello?"

'Hey Amber." The caller said. I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at the caller I.D. its Dani?

"Hey Dani what's up?" I asked sitting back on my bed and watching Two and A Half Men.

"Can I come over?" She said as she let out a sniffle. Was she okay? Why is she crying? Did Ashton hurt her?

"Yeah sure." I said and she hung up. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and looked at my phone. I toss the phone onto my bed and laid back.

"She always made my coffee. I dont know Christmas-y." Charlie said complaining. For God's sake Charlie what even is Christmas-y?

"Christmas like." He said and I facepalmed. Of course. Why am I watching this. Ding dong.

Dani. I paused my show and stood up from my bed running down the stairs to the front door. I open it and was engulfed in a tight bear hug. I rubbed her back and stroked her hair.

"What's wrong Dani?" I asked her as she shook her head and burried her face in the crook of my neck.

"Mom kicked me out. Because I'm with Ashton." She cried out and hugged me tighter.

"What's wrong with that? You're not pregnant are you?" I asked her.

"No. I'm not. She just doesnt like Ashton." She said. I looked at the door and saw her bags.

"You can stay here." I say. Out of habit. I let people stay here all the time.

"What? Really?" She asked and looked at me hopefully. Blinking her eyes. I smile at her and nod. She gave me a big smile and an even tighter hug.

I showed her her room and left her alone to calm down and settle in.

You and I.. we don't wanna be like them...

Mikey. Again. Really?

"Hello?" I say as I pick up and put the phone against my ear.

"Hello beautiful." Michael said. I must admit it gave me the butterflies and a blush on my cheeks.

"Hey Michael. Why are you calling. Again?" I say giggling as I press play on my two and a half men again.

"I couldn't sleep and I missed you." He said.

"We just talked 30 minutes ago." I said and shook my head.

"Well I miss you."

"I miss you too Michael."
