She laughed and smiled with me
But they didn't compare to the ones when she was with him

It wasn't until late morning when I was chowing down on some cheesy pasta that I got word of Vulcrian coming to take me back to the west. I had spat out my half chewed pasta, coughing and spluttering like an idiot.
I was excited to see him. However, a small part of me was disappointed of leaving the north.
I had followed a frowning Cora through the bustling hallways, towards the throne room where he was waiting. I didn't ask her why she seemed annoyed, I couldn't when I was practically bouncing with excitement.
When we arrived, the sight of his clean royally clad body stood in front of the King had me wringing my hands. Why was I nervous? It was just Vulcrian, the first friend I made when I came here.
When everyone turned around and his eyes met mine, his face immediately broke out into a grin so huge that I was afraid it would split his face into two.
"Hi!" I embarrassingly squeaked out as I stopped in front of him.
I hadn't expected him to pull me into a hug, his face buried into the side of my neck. Not knowing what to do because of the many eyes on us, I awkwardly reached up and patted his back. He had pulled away, holding me at arms length and observed me from head to toe. I shuffled on my feet and smiled at him.
That's when the doors banged open, nearly knocking over the two guards standing on each side. And that's also where everything went downhill.
Currently, I stood between two princes feeling cornered like an animal. The tension was so thick I could slice it with Killian's sword that was hung next to his hips. His hand rested casually on it, making me glance up at him worriedly. He wasn't going to start slicing Vulcrian up right?
"C-can I get out?" I whispered, slowly trying to squeeze through them. Vulcrian took a step in, unknowingly blocking my escape route. I peered in between them towards Cora who was standing next to King Jeremiah. I sent her a pleading look and she smirked, crossing her arms.
"What are you doing here?" Killian grounded out, his jaw clenched to suppress his irritation.
Vulcrian smirked and leaned into Killian to whisper something. My eyes widened as Killian's hand clenched the hilt of his sword. I looked up to see his glare intensifying and his wings tensing behind him. He looked ready to kill him.
Vulcrian wiped off the smirk and looked down at me with a soft smile. "Ready to go home?"
"She's not going back with you so you can take your little white ass out of here and back to the west," Killian hissed and yanked me behind him, making me almost trip. Disregarding the situation, a warm fluttering erupted in my stomach as I glanced at our hands.
