Zayn: The blanket was fuzzy and bright green and it didn’t look like anything they’d ever seen Zayn with before. “Mate, what is that?” Louis asked as soon as the younger boy appeared on the bus, the bright fluffy green thing held in his arms. “It’s a blanket, Lou.” He explained as he dropped it into his bunk, hoping that your smell would rub off on the interior and make it seem more like home. You’d been wrapped in it that very morning as you watched him pack up a few things that you knew would only last him a week on tour. That night when he crawled into the bunk and closed the curtain, it felt like you were right there with him.
Liam: It was just a small woven bracelet, made of multi-colored string that you’d tied around his wrist before he could run out the door that last morning. “I’ll be watching the videos of the concerts, Payno. And you’d best be wearing this bracelet every night, alright?” You told him as you tugged on the ends of it, making sure the knot was tight enough. Without even looking, you knew that he was giving you a squinty smile. “Don’t you worry, darling. I won’t forget about you while I’m gone.” He tilted your chin up and pecked your lips one final time before grabbing his bags and disappearing out the door.
Niall: "You bastard." Were the first words out of your mouth when you answered his phone call to let you know he’d landed safely. "What’d I do?" Niall’s voice was thick and confused and tired, like it always was after he’d gotten off a long plane ride. "You stole my shampoo! Now I have to go buy more of it and I wasn’t planning on leaving the house all weekend!" You didn’t have a problem with him using your shampoo while he was home, but now you’d have to go out and you really hadn’t wanted to do that. "Sorry, but they don’t sell it over here at all and I like the smell of it, it reminds me of you, babe." You couldn’t stay mad at him for long, not with that adorable accent anyway, so you sighed and instead asked him about the flight.
Louis: They could always tell when Louis was starting to miss home and miss you because he would wrap himself up in the sweatshirt that they all knew was yours, the one with the big ‘I ♥ NY’ on the front that he bought for you the first time that you were in New York together. It had been passed back and forth between the two of you every time that you came to visit them on tour and it held a combination of both of your scents. Louis would walk around in it for days, only taking it off to go on stage or after he’d had a nice, long Skype session with you and wasn’t missing you quite as much as before.
Harry: To most people, it could seem strange that you’d given Harry your diary to take along with him as he went away on tour. Your relationship was quickly approaching the one year mark though, and you wanted him to read it. You’d started writing in it only a few days before you’d met him, so the written words on the pages spanned from the time that you met him, all the way through developing a crush, beginning to date, and all the dates and fights and sudden bursts of absolute love that happened in between then and now. You just wanted him to know you as best as he possibly could and this seemed to be the way to do that. What you didn’t expect was for him to hand you his own little book in response, just moments before he was meant to leave for the airport. When you opened it up a few days later, you found that it was filled cover to cover with scraps of songs and silly doodles, poems dedicated to you and fragments of his thoughts.
