Harry: Harry has a lot of friends due to his high levels of charisma. You were lucky enough to be included into his inner circle of friends and you thought that was great, but you wanted to be more than friends. At first, you’d thought that he felt the same way. And then he told you that he was thinking about asking out on a date one of the other girls in the inner circle. You felt your heart cracking in your chest as you nodded, telling him that she would definitely agree and they’d be perfect together, but the whole time your heart was clenching in your chest painfully.
Liam: With his eyes trained on something on the other side of the room, he was overflowing the cup of water he’d been pouring himself. “Liam!” You grabbed his wrist, taking the pitcher out of his hands and placing it down on the table. “What are you looking at anyway?” Following his line of sight, you saw a girl who was laughing and showing off her pearly white smile, flipping her hair around. She looked like the life of the party and he’d already captured Liam’s heart. “I’ll be right back, Y/N. You don’t mind, do you?” He barely spared you another glance before he walked away.
Louis: His cheeks were painted a pretty pink, his blue eyes lit up from the alcohol he’d consumed in the past few hours. As sophomoric as it was, you were all sitting in a circle on the floor at this party, playing Spin the Bottle. While you were hoping for Louis, he kept licking his lips and looking across the circle at a girl who you recognized from pictures he’d commented on on Facebook. After a few people had spun the bottle, Louis figured out that the bottle was rotating just over 360 degrees, and landing on the person to the left of the spinner. He whispered that to you which made your heart light up since it was nearly his turn and you were the one to the right of him, but then his next words made your heart freeze. “Will you switch with her?” He nodded over towards the other girl and since he was your friend, you quietly got up and asked her to trade you spots. A few moments later you watched as they leaned into each other.
Niall: "What do you mean?" His words had spilled out of his mouth in a quick jumble of an accent and you weren’t able to make any sense of it. "I mean, that I finally have a chance with her, Y/N! Aren’t you happy for me?" No, not really. Yes, maybe if you weren’t head over heels in love with this blue-eyed boy in front of you then you would be happy that Demi Lovato finally wanted to give him a chance. "Yeah, Ni. I’m really happy for you. I hope it all works out in the end for you and her." You bit your lip and said no more on the subject, changing the topic to something that didn’t make you want to curl up with a vat of chocolate ice cream.
Zayn: You’d known for a while now that Zayn was seeing other girls. The relationship between the two of you wasn’t a committed one. You were both allowed to see other people for the time being, so when you caught him out on a few dates with other girls, it wasn’t a problem. Then he told you that he really liked one of them. “Her name’s Perrie and she’s really great. Funny and pretty and she’s an amazing singer as well.” The dreamy look in his eyes was like looking in a mirror because it was the same look you had when talking about him. “The thing is, Y/N, she and I kind of want to see each other officially, so I can’t, like, keep this up between us, you know?” You nodded, but then realized that he couldn’t see it because he was telling you this over the phone. “Yeah, Zayn, I understand. Anyway, I was starting to see this other guy as well. It’s fine. I completely understand.” And that was that.
