Harry: It happened after he joined the band. They were all together on the bus when it was struck by lightning as they moved from one city to the next. For the first two days they thought that they’d just been lucky to survive a lightning strike, they didn’t find anything else unusual. Then Harry woke up on the third morning, only he wasn’t quite Harry. He was a girl with womanly curves and longer hair than normal that stretched down to just beneath his shoulder blades. It took a few hours for him to change back, but when he did, it was sudden and uncomfortable, yet he couldn’t wait for the next time. He only hope it didn’t happen in public.
Liam: By the time you met him, he’d mastered his ability to control fire. He could steal sparks lightning and cause it to crackle over his skin, and he could no longer be burned or feel a spark, so that was handy when one of the fireworks at their show went haywire and hit him in the back. His shirt was burned off, much to the pleasure of the fans, and he had a nasty bruise, but other than that, he was fine. He met you the day that your apartment was burning down. Flames licked at every surface and barricaded the door. Liam heard your shouts for help as he passed by the road below and his heart seized in his chest because this was his one chance to be the firefighter he dreamed of being before the band. That day he found that he could bend the fire away from the door and away from you in order to save you, sweeping you out of the door just in time for the building to collapse behind you both.
Louis: Every one of the boys hated him when he found his power. Super speed and teleportation. Who needs both of them? Apparently Louis did, and he took full advantage of them. He had always been buzzing with energy and now he was actually able to run off all the energy until there were sparks catching in the air, the friction against his skin was enough to actually light the air. The Lilo Trouble Team grew even more troublesome then when Louis could start running as fast as possible, blurring past their security who tried to stop him, and Liam could light his trail on fire, literally leaving a path of destruction in their wake. One or two times, Louis was nearly caught in public teleporting to and from places because he still wasn’t quite sure how to do it. Sometimes he could just visualize a place or a person and he would close his eyes and then appear in front of them, other times it just didn’t work like that and he’d either stay in his spot or he’d show up somewhere completely different. That was always a bit difficult to explain. Especially when he teleported directly into your shower and you’d never met before.
Niall: What the world needed was not two Niall Horan’s laughing loudly and goofing around backstage. Sometimes it was good, like when Niall wanted to sleep in or when he was really homesick but they were playing a show. He could just do a thing and then there were two of him and one of him would go do band stuff and the original him could just lay around or go home or whatever. It took everyone a while to figure it out, but when they did they were all jealous and slightly angry because he got to be lazy when they were working their arses off. And shortly after he discovered he could split in two, he realized that he could do more than that, so soon the boys had to deal with up to five Niall’s at a time.
Zayn: What a shit power it was. Projection. Zayn didn’t see what was so cool about being able to project images from his own mind into others. All the other boys could do cool things like control fire or make duplicates of themselves, shift gender or teleport home for the evening. He could show people pretty pictures. It sucked. The boys tried to tell him it was a cool power. He could show people whatever he wanted like if he was having a tough time explaining a certain object, all he’d have to do was drop the image in their mind and they’d understand. Zayn still didn’t see the importance or “coolness” of his power until he and Niall were trapped in a broken elevator and the younger boy began to have a panic attack and began multiplying until there were three claustrophobic Niall’s and one annoyed Zayn. Quickly thinking, he projected an image of a large, open area into each of the Niall’s minds. After that, they calmed down and stayed that way until he removed the image just as they were being rescued.
