Liam: Niall let out a whistle when you emerged from your room, making you blush. Liam had his back to you but as soon as the sound escaped Niall, he spun around and stopped dead in his tracks. He stood stock still, his mouth hanging open slightly. You smoothed down the fabric of your dress. You began to worry that he didn’t like what you had picked out for your night, a red dress that fell just below your knees and clung to your body, showing your slight curves. Your hair was pulled to the side and fell in loose waves. “Is it too much? I wasn’t sure…I could go change.” Liam hadn’t told you where he was taking you, just to put on your best dress and be ready at a certain time for dinner. Now you were regretting every decision because he still hadn’t moved. You started backing back into your room, but the movement seemed to break him from his trance. Liam reached out and grabbed your hand to stop you. “Don’t you dare, Y/N” He pulled you to him and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. “You look absolutely amazing.”
Harry: To say you were nervous was beyond an understatement. It was your first time going to a big event with the guys and the first time you and Harry were taking your relationship public. There had been rumors that you were dating, but you both had denied them, wanting to see how things went before being thrown full force into the spotlight. You desperately wanted to make a good impression tonight. You stared at the outfits splayed out across your bed, going back and forth between a few choices. “Harry!” He was better at this sort of thing than you. “Yeah, babe?” he answered, sticking his head out of the bathroom where he had been getting ready. “I don’t know what to wear.” He sighed, coming all the way into the bedroom. He surveyed the damage you had done to your closet, then his gaze turned back to you. You knew he could see how worried you were about this. “You are way overthinking this, Y/N. Anything you wear will look amazing.” He pulled you close and kissed the top of your head. “Besides, all of us are probably going to show up in t-shirts and jeans. You’re going to steal the show in whatever you wear.” He placed a kiss on the tip of your nose and then pushed your towards the pile of clothes on your bed. “Now, hurry up. We have to leave in 30 minutes.”
Louis: “Wow, Y/N! You look absolutely stunning!” You couldn’t help the blush you felt creep up your cheeks. Admittedly, you had picked this outfit (a black leather mini skirt paired with a black and white sleeveless top and heels) with the intention of getting this precise reaction from Louis, but his show of appreciation still made you a little giddy. “Thanks, Lou. You don’t look half bad yourself.” He smoothed his lapels, not missing the opportunity to preen in front of you. It was something you had noticed him doing more and more when you were around. You weren’t complaining, but you didn’t want to read more into it that was appropriate. The two of you had been friends for so long, you didn’t want to ruin anything by thinking he felt the same about you as you did him. So you let the subject drop. It wasn’t until the end of the evening that it was brought back up. Louis had insisted on driving you home and walked you to your door. “You really do look amazing tonight, Y/N. Not that you don’t always look amazing. But you just look really good tonight.” He seemed more flustered than he normally did. He kept shifting his weight and jiggling his keys. “What are you getting at, Lou?” He chuckled. “I really don’t know. I just…I couldn’t keep my eyes off you all night. And, I guess, it made me realize that we should do this again sometime. That I want to do this again…Just the two of us, going out some place.” “Like a date?” Lou smiled as he nodded. “Exactly like a date.”
Niall: You were so used to seeing the boys in all their scrubby glory that when you saw nail dressed in his best for Jay’s wedding, you had to do a double take. Damn, he looked good. And you could tell he knew he approved, if that smirk whenever he caught your eye was any indication. Oh yeah, he knew what he was doing to you. You didn’t get a chance to talk to him until the reception. When you saw him cutting through the crowd, you were struck again by how handsome he was. How sexy he looked in that suit. “Hey, Y/N,” he said when he stopped next to you at the bar. There was a heat in his eyes when his caught yours. His voice was low and husky. It sent a shiver through you. “Hi, Naill. How are you?” He chuckled. “I’m doing well.” But then he fell silent. After an uncomfortable moment, you turned to the bartender and ordered a shot. Thank God for open bars. After downing it, you cleared your throat. “It was a lovely ceremony. Jay looks absolutely stunning,” was all you could think of to say. “It was.” He was quiet a moment more before turning to you fully. “Dance with me, Y/N.” It wasn’t a request. You took his offered hand and he led you to the floor. A slow song started and Naill wasted no time pulling you close. One of his hands held one of yours while the other rested on your hip, his fingers finding the edge of the open back of your dress. His gentle caresses sent another chill through you. As you swayed back and forth, Niall spoke again. “Jay isn’t the only one who looks stunning tonight, Y/N. Since the moment I spotted you when I came in, I wanted to have you close to me. Just like this.” “Yeah?” “Yeah. And if I’m being honest, I want you a lot closer than this if you catch my drift.” You did. A sudden heat replaced the chills from before as you processed his words. You took a deep breath before taking a chance. “Do you want to get out of here, Niall?”
Zayn: You could see in his face when you came out of the bathroom dressed the way you were in a knee length cocktail dress and your hair curled. You were playing with fire and there was nothing you could do. The two of you had already talked about it. There was a mutual attraction between you and Zayn. But you were with Liam and it was going to stay that way. Thinking someone was good looking was no reason to end something that was going so wonderfully. And he agreed. “You look great, Y/N. Big date?” “Thanks, Zayn. But no. I have a work thing. Get to go schmooze with the investors. Kiss some ass. That kind of thing.” He laughed, watching you struggle to get the strap on your heel fastened. He knew how much you hated this part of your job. “Call me if he gets too fresh. I know Liam’s in the studio tonight.” He threw a wink in for good measure causing you to shake your head at him. “It’s actually a woman, so…” “Even more reason to call, then. I’d enjoy a good show.” You stuck your tongue out at him as you headed out the door. He just laughed harder.
