For some reason every now and then my thoughts went back to the beautiful brown skinned woman. Mia. I never felt this way about anyone let alone a black woman (no offense). Could it be love at first sight? For while I wonder will I see her again. Hoping that I would see her again.

My prayers were answered when I just happened to be coming home from a walk. (Something I do every now then to clear my head.) When I see the brown skinned goddess of a woman struggling with a box up the steps to the apartment building I live in. Was she moving here? My heart skipped the beat at the thought of it. Its crazy I barely know the woman and she already making my heart skip a beat.

As I saw her struggle I ask if she need help. When she looked at me her brown hypnotizing eyes locked with mine causing my heart to skip another beat. She seemed more than happy to accept my help. I lifted the supposed heavy box with ease thanks to my strength.

We began to walk up the steps with me in the front until Mia lead the way to her apartment. Once inside the apartment building we walked up three flights of stairs and walked down the hall. We stopped at the apartment right next to mine. 3B. Was she going to be my neighbor?

"Wow I guess we're neighbors. I'm apartment 3C."

She looked at me and gave me her beautiful smile. "Well isn't that something we're neighbors and we are going to be working together. " She said. If it were possible I think my heart would have burst at how it was working overtime.

After I had helped her and exchanged numbers I knew that Mia was the one for me. That it was fate. I had to make her mine.

The day after I moved in it was time for me to start my new job at the Daily Planet. I was a little excited and nervous. I had a hard time sleeping last night due to my worry and anxiety of how well I perform as a reporter. What if I prove Mr. White wrong and screw up the job? I had to keep telling myself that I would be fine and to not overthink it. I will not go back to be anyone's assistant.

Right now I was trying to hurry up and finish doing my hair because I had over sleep about fifteen minutes. I had to be at work at 8 am. I could not be late the first day of work. After I had finish with my hair I decided to grab a slice of leftover pizza for breakfast. I grabbed the pizza after it was done heating up in the microwave and made my way out the door. I looked at my watch and saw I only had thirty minutes to spare. I got in my car driving as fast as the speed limit would allow me and hoping to not get a ticket when I went over some. Thankfully traffic was really light this morning.

I finally made to the Daily Planet I looked at my watch again and saw that there was only five minutes left. Once inside the building I made my way over to the elevator and pressed the button waiting for it to open. I stepped inside and the doors were about to close until I heard someone say, "Wait. Hold the door."

I quickly put my hand to the door so it would not close. Then I saw the person lightly jog up to the elevator. I that person was Clark.

When he saw my face he smiled and stepped into the elevator beside me. "Thanks, Mia."

"No problem. What floor?" I asked

"Floor 29. Please." He said then took a sip of the coffee in his hand.

"Oh, I guess we are going on the same floor." I said. I know this because I got an email the other day on where I need to go and what I need to do when I got here.

"Uhm, yeah, that's usually where most of the reporters work." He said taking another sip of his drink.

"Hey, where did you get that coffee?" I asked still not familiar with Metropolis.
