3rd POV
After Clark and Mia finished their breakfast they made our way to the Daily Planet not before stopping at their favorite place to get a hot drink, 'World's Finest Coffee'. As they walked through the Daily Planet toward their desk Clark grabbed Mia's hand.
"No, no, no, Clark. Do you really think that is appropriate in the work place?" She joked mocking Lois from the yesterday. "You know public PDA is against the regulations here."
Clark rolled his eyes at her playfulness and wrapped his arm around her. "Now this is very inappropriate, sir." Mia said in a proper accent.
"Sorry, love, your going to have to forgive my boldness." He said in a British accent pulling her closer. Clark kept his arm around her until they made it to their desk. As they sat their stuff down on their desk Clark noticed that everyone was moving quickly toward the conference room. Then he spotted Jimmy moving towards that area as well.
"Jimmy!" Jimmy stopped in his tracks and turned to Clark.
"Oh, good morning Clark. Mia." He said as he moved toward them.
"Morning Jimmy. What's going on? Why is everyone rushing toward the conference room?" Clark asked.
"Perry just called an immediate meeting about the incident that had happened yesterday." Clark's heart raced a little. He knew that he was going to hate this meeting. He knew Perry might make Superman seem like the bad guy in this.
"I want this story on the front page! I want it titled, "Has Superman Finally Snap." Perry said. Most of the reports were sitting around the table as they watch Perry pace back and forth ranting on how he wants the story covered. As the meeting went on Clark tried to think of ways to make his alternate self look better.
"With due respect sir I don't you think people may be looking into it wrong." Mia said suddenly.
"How else does is suppose to look like Mia? He had the man's hand literally in his hand." Perry said taking a seat at the table.
"I would have to agree with Mia here, sir." Clark suddenly spoke up.
"Me too." Lois said jumping into the conversation as she looked over at Clark intently. Mia just rolled her eyes in annoyance.
Clark just looked at Lois and continued. "As I was saying maybe Superman though this was the only way to save the people. I don't think he intentionally wanted cause any harm to that man."
Perry just scoffed in response. "And, how would you know that? Have you asked?"
"Uhm..no, but-"
"That's what I thought. Anyway, I wanted you and Mia to put your statements in as well on what you both witness. Especially, you Mia since you are the one who caught Superman in the act."
"Wait, Perry what you said a moment ago gave me and idea. What if we get Superman to speak on his behalf?" Mia suggested. Clark looked at Mia surprised by the suggestion along with everyone else.
"Oh and how are you going to do that. He doesn't exactly have a phone number Jones?" Perry said as some people snickered at his comment.
Mia shrugged. "Maybe I can put something online or in the paper requesting him to come speak on his behalf." Perry rubbed his growing beard as he thought.
"Okay, Jones I will go with this. I want Daily Planet on top of this. This no one's story, but ours. Now everyone let's get to it." With that everyone got up and made there way out the door. Mia was eager to get this out there hoping that Superman would read it and consider speaking for himself.
