2 Weeks Later

For the past few weeks Mia has closely watched the news of Superman's heroic acts. He helped move a ship that was stuck in the icy water. Superman was also found at a space shuttle saving people from an explosion then he rescued several families from a major flood.

As Mia watched Superman closely on the new she also watched Clark closely as well. He always making excuses with her and sometimes find him missing from his desk. Even Perry complained that he keeps disappearing out of nowhere, saying "He clicks his heels three times and he's in Kansas." That made Mia laugh a little that earned her looks at work.

There was something up about Clark that was keeping Mia up tonight. Mia rolled over on her back and kept her hands behind her head as she looked up at the ceiling in thought. She let out a sigh and rolled over once more on her side. "Man, I can't sleep. Maybe I should just play on y phone." Mia thought out loud. She whipped out her phone just scrolling though her photo gallery, looking at old photos. Each picture bringing back memories with her friends and family. She then came upon pictures of her and Clark that caused a smile to grow on her face. As she continued to look at the pictures of her and Clark an idea came to.

Mia  quickly sat up on her bed as she pulled out her laptop. She logged in and went straight to Google typing in Superman images.

Mia then took the picture of her and Clark and zoomed up on him and put her phone beside a random picture of Superman. Her eyes went back and forth between Clark and Superman.

"Could it be my Clark Kent is Superman?" Mia mumbled to herself

"Is it really surprising that the most powerful man in the world is a figure of controversy?" the reporter asked his guess Senator Finch.

"To have an individual engaging in state level interventions should give us pause..." the Senator replied.

It was late at night and Clark decided to stay up and watch some TV as he ate a snack. As he flipped through different channels he landed on the news that caught his interest. The topic of discussion was of course Superman. They were in discussion on whether Superman should act or be involved in world crisis.

"Are you as a United States senator comfortable saying to a grieving parent that Superman could have saved your child, but on principle? We did not want him to act?" The report insinuated.

The senator shook her head. "I'm not saying he should act. I'm saying he shouldn't act unilaterally."

"What are we talking about here then? Must there be a Superman?" The reporter asked Senator Finch.

The senator paused for a moment in thought. "There is."

Clark sighed and shook his head. It bothered him how much people are against him. Yet, when there is trouble they want his help. It amazed him how much people criticize him, but not the Gotham Bat who brands his victims.
