Two Nights Later

Metropolis

Mia's POV

"Clark, don't forget to get the frozen chicken breast. Make sure you actually get chicken not turkey like the last time."

"Hey, that was an accident. I wasn't paying attention."

"Clark, you do realize that a turkey is much bigger that a chicken, right? Are you sure that those glasses are only just a disguise?" I teased. I could practically see Clark rolling his eyes.

"Yes, Mia I know that. And I will have you know that my vision is perfectly fine. I can literally see through walls, Mia." Clark answered smartly.

"Yeah, yeah whatever. I will see you when you get back. Love you."

"Love you too." I then hung up and turned back to getting the pots and pans out I needed to make dinner tonight.

Tonight I'm going to teach Clark how to cook things other than eggs and pancakes. The last he tried to cook for me I almost died. He apologized countless times for it and made it up to me by buying me Chinese. I told him to never cook for me again (besides breakfast) until he actually knows how to cook.

As I was getting the kitchen ready and preparing for the mess Clark was going to make I heard a knock at my door. Who could be at the door? There is no way Clark is back that fast. I don't care if he does have super speed. Knowing the lines at the grocery store he's going to be there for a minute.

I make my way to the door and opened with a surprise at who was at the other side of it. "Bruce?"

Bruce stood there in his usually expensive looking outfit with a long black pea coat on, his hands in the pockets. "Mia."

"Bruce, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"May I come in?" He gestured toward the inside of my apartment.

"Oh, yeah. Sure." I stepped aside letting him walk through. "What's wrong? What on your mind?"

"You." Bruce simply answered.

I raised a brow at him and crossed my arms over my chest. "Me? What about me?"

"I'm worried about you and your relationship with Clark?"

I do not like where this conversation is going. "What about me and Clark, Bruce?"

"Mia, you remember that day. When we were in Metropolis around the time those Kryptonians destroyed the city." Bruce reminded me of that horrible and scary day.

"Yeah, so? What does that have to do with me and my boyfriend?"

Bruce sighed and took a seat on the couch. "Mia, I'm just going to come out and say it. I believe your boyfriend is possibly a threat."

I just stared at Bruce like he was crazy. "A threat? Bruce-"

"Mia, your boyfriend is Superman. Okay?!"

I looked at him wide eyed. How does he know? "Pfff." I laughed. "What? No way. Clark is too nerdy and wimpy to be Superman."

"That may be true, but he is. I bet you already know that." Bruce said crossing his arms.

I opened my mouth a little in surprise. Bruce has always been good at figuring out things. Almost nothing gets past him. I told him a long time ago if he was not a businessman he should be a detective. "H-How do you know?"

Bruce scoffed. "Come on Mia who did he think he was fooling with that cheap and sorry excuse of a disguised."

I look down embarrassed rubbing my arm. "He fooled me." I mumbled under my breath.
