Lo and Behold Lex Luthor

3rd POV

Senator Finch and her team were downtown Metropolis at one of the buildings own by LexCorp in search for the certain person they were looking for. Lex Luthor. Much to Senator Finch surprise she found him playing basketball with a group of guys like a teenager. 'This is suppose to one of Metropolis brilliant and riches man?' The Senator thought.

Then Lex turned around with a wide smile on his face after he shot a basket. Surprisingly not missing. "Oh, I did not know your were here." He said referring to the Senator. He then shook hands with everyone and told them to follow him. They all walked down the halls to one of the bas in the back of the building. Once they got to the back they greet with a door with a security code on it that Lex had to put in to get access. As he talked about his father and the company his father gave him.

They came to a room with a clear glass box in the center. Then a machine came on causing a hole to open in the center of the box. "This a suvern from the Kryptonian world engine." Inside the box was a small piece emerald green colored rock.

"You called us down here for some rock? What does a rock have to do with homeland security?" Finch asked confused by this.

"This is homeland security for the planet, senator. " Lex said as he rested against the glass box.

Then the one of the scientist, who work of Lex, began to explain to the senator what the rock is and its purpose. "When we exposed this rock to General Zod this happened..." Everyone looked to the screen to see the green rock cut the alien's flesh. "It decays Kryptonian cells."

"If a large enough sample is found it can be weaponized. Lucky for us we have some large enough." The computer screen showed a picture of the bigger amount of the green rock. "This beauty was found at the bottom of the Indian Ocean."

"Why in the world would we want to weaponize this?" She said looking back toward the screen then back towards Lex.

"Have you ever wonder if someone with that much power used his gift to enslave us instead of help us? What if there were more like him? How will we defend ourselves?" Lex asked walking around the group.

The senator looked in thought at this not sure what to say. "Think on it." Lex said leading them out of the room. As they left the room one of the men with senator pulled Lex to the side for a private discussion. As Lex and the man talked that was when Mia entered that particular area in the building in hopes to get a statement from the Senator.

"Senator Finch!" Mia raised voice getting the lady's attention and Lex.

Finch watched as the unknown woman with a reporter badge on approach her. "Yes?"

"I just have a few questions to ask you." Mia said.

"I'm sorry Miss..."

"Oh, You can just call me Mia."

"Well...Mia. I really don't have time to talk I have a very important meeting to attend to so if you would excuse me." Finch then turn walking away not giving Mia a chance to response. Finch didn't really have a meeting just wasn't in the mood for the press.

Mia rolled her eyes as she watched as the woman walked away. She knew she was just avoiding being interviewed. "I'll just put no comment." This was a total waste of time. Mia turned and began to head out the building.

"Oh, Miss!" Mia stopped in her tracks when she saw a man walking toward her with a smile on her face.

"Hi Lex Luthor, but you can call me Lex." He said sticking out his hand.

Mia took his hand and shook it smiling back at him. "Hi, I'm Mia Jones but you can call me Mia." She said as they let go of each others hand.

"Mr. Luthor-" A man called behind Lex, the man he was talking with earlier.

"Gregory I will be with you in a moment. I'm in the middle of a conversation with a beautiful lady." Lex said not taking his eyes off Mia. Mia couldn't help but blush and smile at his statement. The man just stands there impatiently waiting for Lex as he watched them talk.

"I see you work for the Daily Planet. You must have some questions for me." Lex said looking at her badge and a little at her chest going unnoticed by Mia.

"Well, I actually came for the Senator. No offense." Mia said the last part quickly.

"Oh, I see."

"But, maybe I can get an interview with you since I heard that you are the richest and smartest man in Metropolis." Mia said not wanting this trip to be a total waste.

Lex smirked at Mia's complement. "Well then you heard correctly." Lex said smiling looking at Mia up and down. Mia shifted on her feet a little unnerved by the way he was looking at her. "Back to the interv-"

"Mr. Luthor, sorry to interrupt, but I am pressed for time." Gregory said as he was now standing closer behind Lex.

Lex huffed in annoyance. The man was starting to get on his nerves. "Very well. Just give me another minute." Lex then turned back to toward Mia. "As, I was saying Miss Mia, why don't we have the interview over dinner this Saturday." he suggested as he escorted Mia out toward the building entrance. Then they stop walking once they were in front of the door and faced each other.

"Oh, I can't I already have plans this Saturday." She said remembering the date planned with Clark.

"Oh." Lex tone of voice went from cheery to a disappointed tone. "Is it a friend you are meeting? If I may ask."

"Kinda. Part of me is hoping he and I become more than friends one day." Mia said as she began to realize that she may have develop some feelings for Clark.

For some reason Lex felt a bit of jealousy rise in him. Yet he hid his jealous expression with that same smile he had before. "I'm sure it will work out. But, anyway we should really meet for an interview."

'He seems to more determine for this interview than me.' Mia thought. "Well here is my number. Call me when you want to meet up soon." Mia gave Lex her card.

"Until then." Lex said as he grabbed her hand with the card in it and kissed the back of her hand throwing Mia off guard. Mia said her farewell and walked out the door with an unsettling feeling about him.

Lex watch her figure walk away from him. He could not help, but think how beautiful she was.

"Beautiful, isn't she?" Lex turned to Gregory. Lex rolled his eyes and huffed in annoyance at this man.

"Let's get back to the business we discussed earlier since you are 'pressed for time.'" Lex said ignoring his comment.

"Oh, right." The man said sheepishly.

"As I said earlier I wanted access to the wreck Kryptonian ship." Lex then grabbed some some candy and looked at Gregory waiting for an answer.

"Done."

"I also want the remains of the dead aliens body."

The man looked at Lex as if he was crazy. "You want General Zod's dead body?" He asked unsure about what Lex was trying to do and felt a little disgusted by this.

"Yes Gregory. I want access to everything." Lex said smirking at him.

"You sure that this for the same purpose I have right? To ensure Earth's security?" Gregory asked unsure.

Lex smirk grew bigger. "Of course Greg. For Earth's security."
