Yep, this man is trying to kill me. No doubt about he is trying to kill me. Yet, I still standing here like the fool I am with my eyes close. He could be preparing my grave right now. 'Alright, Mia chill he is not going to kill you, but if he does just pray Superman is in the neighborhood.'
I then heard footsteps approaching me followed by my name being called. "Can I open my eyes now?"
"Not yet." Clark answered. Then I felt warm hands grabbed mine and leading me off somewhere hopefully somewhere safe. Eventually we came to a holt and I felt Clark release my hands.
"Now open." Clark instructed. I slowly open my eyes to an unexpected sight. A picnic. Sort of. I saw what I assume was Clark's jacket on the ground with our sandwiches on top. Then there was a small campfire next to it. Clark was carrying a lighter?
Despite how thrown together it looked it was still the most romantic and thoughtful thing someone has ever done for me. I couldn't help, but smile at Clark at his effort to be romantic.
"S-so, uhm, what do you think?" He asked waiting for my opinion.
I walked closer to him and smiled. "I like it. It's different and very romantic especially on a beautiful night like this." I said as I looked around at the scenery then back at Clark's blue eyes.
"Sorry, it isn't the best looking picnic it was just something I quickly wiped up."
"Clark chill its cool. I said I like it. Didn't I? So, come let's eat." I said taking a seat and Clark followed in pursuit. Iris was right. I'm glad I did give Clark a chance.
3rd POV
Mia and Clark sat there in silence as they ate their sandwiches not sure what to say to each other. Clark looked toward Mia taken in her appearance. He just could not get over the fact of how beautiful she looked. There was no doubt that she was the most beautiful black girl he had ever seen.
"Mia." Mia looked over at Clark when he called her name. "Y-you look very beautiful tonight." He said as he stared into her eyes.
Mia couldn't help but blush at his complement. "Thank you. You don't look to bad yourself." Clark smirked at her and thanked her.
"So, tell me about yourself?" Clark asked wanting to as much as he can about the woman who clouded his mind.
Mia looked in thought. "Well, let see I like to cook. I also, like to read. Oh, and uhm.." Mia then started laughing a little.
Clark smiled and asked, "What?" He asked eager to know.
"I..*snicker*...I still watch Spongebob." I said feeling childish. "And the powerful girls." Clark looked at me and laughed.
"Seriously?" Clark asked shocked. It wasn't something people would normally admit on the first date.
I nodded my head laughing a little.
"So, what about you?" Mia asked.
"Well I have to admit I am pretty boring?" Clark confessed as he thought back to all the times someone needed Superman. He could not help, but smirk.
"What? No way there must be something interesting about you."
"Well, I'm from Kansas where I was adopted."
"You were adopted?" Mia asked.
"Yeah, I was adopted as a baby. I knew nothing of my mother, but I did get to know my biological father." Clark said thinking back how he met the holographic computer version of Jor-El.
"You met your real dad when you got older?"
"No, uhm...I was told about him...through other people." Clark lied instantly feeling bad about it. One day he hope they be close enough to tell her the truth.
