Metropolis

Mia's POV

"You know Clark when you said we would do something different I didn't think you would mean this!" I shouted as Clark and I now stood on the roof of our apartment building looking down at the city.

"Come on, Mia. You being a bit dramatic."

"Clark, you really don't have to show me the sunset I can see it just fine from the ground." I said not letting go of the roof door handle.

"Mia you are never going to see a sunset as beautiful as this from the ground." Clark said as he walked toward the edge. This was Clark's way of trying to be romantic. "Mia, come look at this view." Clark said now looking down over the edge.

I just stared at him with my mouth gaped open a little. "Yep, I seen enough. I am going back inside."

Clark was immediately by my side as he released my hand from the door. "Mia what's the problem? You seemed like you were over your fear of heights when I took you home as Superman a while back.

"Yeah, that was then. This is now." I answered.

"Mia, we really need to get you over your fear of heights." Clark said as he looked at the edge of the roof and look back at me with a smirk on his face. "And I think I know just how to do it.'

I stared at him wide eyed. "W-What? H-How are you going to do that?" I said backing up a little.

Clark smirked. "We are going to do a little...trust fall thing."

"OH HECK NO! YOU MUST BE OUT OF YOUR MIND! THERE IS NO WAY I AM JUMPING OFF THIS BUILDING!"

Clark sighed. "Mia, are you crazy? I'm not asking you to jump. Its just my way of saying we need to try something to get you over this fear."

I sighed in relief, but still gave Clark a look if he was crazy for even saying 'fall' while on a roof of a tall building. "Clark, I thought we were going to look at the sunset or show me your abilities like using your freeze breath to make an ice sculpture. Not give me flying lessons!"

"First of all, I don't know how to do that. Second of all, I'm not asking you to jump we will just walk to the edge of the building were you can stand there for a moment. Then we can fly around the city. I wouldn't let anything happen to you."

"Clark, you don't understand. I. DO. NOT. WANT. TO. DIE!"

Clark put his hands on each of my cheeks. "I know, but you need to get over this fear."

I looked between him and the edge of the roof. "Why couldn't we just watch the view? Why do you suddenly want to help me with my fear?"

Clark tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "Well, because I want to help you get over this fear. Also, it would be nice to have you in my arms every now and then. It could be romantic."

I sighed rolling my eyes. "Fine. I trust you." I put my hand in his as he lead me over to the edge of the building. My heart raced in my chest as I held on to Clark's hand for dear life.

"You're doing great Mia." I just looked over at Clark as I made my way to the edge. "Just don't look down suddenly."
